Anyone with PBC ever experience having orange poop? After lots of research it turns out that orange poop indicates the lack of bile salts. After learning this I became much more attentive to when I took Urso. I'm not a meal eater because of digestion stuff...I eat very small amounts all day. So, I adjusted Urso and cut tablets in order to make sure all food is accompanied by Urso...I also take Lypogold (an enzyme to help dissolve fat whenever I eat anything with fat in it).
My poop immediately got much less orange. My liver doc said she had never had a patient report this so I'm casting a net among the folks who would know.

It works good for me. My liver doc knows that my naturopath prescribes it and supports complimentary medicine. I also have no gall bladder so that complicates things a bit.
That is a good point. We should not take supplements or any meds without it being okayed by our doctor. I run everything by my hep even when another doctor prescribes it when I am not sure.
Iv even spoken to my Hep doctor about my joint and bone pain I have, so she referred to a rheumatologist for it then said but they can’t give you anything for it anyway. 🤔 she very strict on what I can take.
I have taken Lypo gold since the removal of my gall bladder 15 years ago. I have been diagnosed with PBC for 5 years...probably had it for much longer but was overshadowed by other auto immune conditions. I looked for a Hep doc that worked with and believed in complimentary medicine and they work together. All my doctors do. My question was more about poop color since it was new to me and I seem to be able to control it by when I take the URSO.
