.Hello, I was diagnosed with PBV stage 2 9 years ago. Now early stage 4 , been taking Urso which worked for years but now going to also start on Ocaliva next month. Recently I was in a major car accident and have a ruptured spleen, which is on the mend, but a huge hematoma beside it which is causing me incredible pain. I have ended up at the hospital a couple times due to the pain and they have put me on narcotics because they don’t want me to take Tylenol because of PBC and Advil, which works for me, causes bleeding so they don’t want me to use this any more. I have not heard back from my doctor as what to do. I have had some docs say Tylenol is okay, others say no. I don’t want the narcotics because this will be a 6-8 month recovery. Just wondering what you were advised about Tylenol. It would not be taken every day, probably once a week when the pain is really intense. Thanks for any input on what you have been advised
PBC and Tylenol : .Hello, I was diagnosed... - PBC Foundation
PBC and Tylenol
My hep says only Tylenol.
I hardly ever need one but he says no more than 4 a day. They all differ in options. Sad they can’t all agree on one.
Thank you. I think that is what I will go on. I wont take it very often and it seems to be on a few reputable websites as well.
My hepatologist at the Mayo Clinic said only Tylenol. When I had all my bottom teeth removed and again when I had the implants placed they allowed me both Tylenol and Advil.
I hope that you feel better soon.
My doctor said nothing but Tylenol.
My Hepa at Baylor Liver Consultants, who do transplants, said for me to use up to 2,000 mg of Tylenol daily but no more.
My hyptologist said Tylenol only too
My doctor just this week reminded me not to take anything else but Tylenol.
