Itching!
I was diagnosed with PBC about 7 years ago & my levels have been stable for 2 years now. I take urso. I have been experiencing itching but wasn’t sure if it was caused by PBC or our climate. The itching comes & goes and can be in many different body areas at a time. Is this what most have experienced

PBC
Hi all. I havnt been on for a while I’m busy caring for my mum who is Palliative so needs 24 hour care. I am wondering when I was diagnosed with PBC my AST was 150 that was 18 months ago. I was put on URSO and felt worse so stopped taking them which I told my consultant and he said we could do a trial

PBC and progression
With having PBC, if you respond to the medicines, will you definitely still need a liver transplant say if you have PBC for 30-40 years? How much does Urso slow the progression since no matter what PBC always progresses?

Tired every afternoon
Lately I’ve been feeling very tired every mid afternoon more so than I ever have I’m wondering is this the PBC and just a natural progression. I was diagnosed 20 months ago with no liver damage just raised LFTs and have been on Urso ever since I take one capsule in the morning and 2 in the evening. I

Pbc and Australia
Hi has anyone with PBC ever successfully managed to emigrate to Australia from UK? I am on trial at QE and wondered if anyone knew of some sort of reciprocal arrangement in AU otherwise the cost of Urso and Bezafibrate is too high for me to pay if had to self fund.... Any info would be greatly appreciated

Fibroscan at last
Had my fibroscan on Friday After a long wait due to Covid and very relieved to have a score of 7.1 and Cap score of 254. Was worried it might be higher. Hoping next years scan will be better now I’m taking Urso. It’s taken a long time to get diagnosed and I want to say a big thanks to my rheumatologist

Pbc? Or not?
Here’s my latest story: I was diagnosed with PBC in 2017 and put on urso immediately. I had the standard 2 out of 3 positives to make a diagnosis. Elevated alk phos, positive AMA2 but never biopsy. After 3 years of doing proper liver diet healthy living my new liver specialist retested my AMA2 and it

Diagnoses psoriasis PPP.
Hi all, I've recently been diagnosed with palmar plantar pustulosis and I am waiting for PUVA PHOTOTHERAPY, could be waiting 3-4 months due to backlog. The skin specialist thinks it's linked to me having Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnoses 9 years ago.

Would using CBD oil affect my PBC in any way
I am a returning blogger and would love to reconnect with all of you. I have had pbc for a few years now and manage my condition with URSO. I want to stop taking amitriptyline because it makes me really dehydrated and I keep waking for a drink so very disturbed sleep pattern.

Hello everyone
I have a question and hope that someone has had similar and can maybe give me some answers! I have had a dodgy tummy for a couple of days and in doing so my meds have probably not had a chance to be effective! I have found that I get severe pain in the centre of my back travelling to the front sternum

Does taking Urso cause some liver pain?
Liver specialist says I have PBC or Autoimmune Hepatitis. I am now on 1,000 mg of Ursodiol. My liver enzymes are very high but my liver had not been hurting for a while. Now that I am taking Urso I am feeling things in my liver. Is this normal? My hope is that the urso is working and my liver is adjusting

Alk Phos ticking up after being normal...
Hi friends - I've been gone for a couple of years, actually. I was diagnosed with PBC in 2016, with Alk Phos then at 388. Upon taking URSO my numbers dropped to a normal level, but now are trending up. I've jumped from a 120 to 146 in 6 months. I've had several bouts with diverticulitis - not sure if

Joint Pain
I have PBC recently diagnosed . I take two 500 mg of Urso everyday. I have terrible joint pain in my knees and ankles which seems to come and go. I always have some pain but every few weeks it gets much much worse. I dont want to start relying on tablets everyday!

New to Urso
I have started taking the full dose of Urso yesterday after a half dose for two weeks but feel really giddy and have constant diarrhoea. Is this usual.
