does anyone else get nights when you get to bed and have bad chest pain ? Presume it’s something I ate but it’s so uncomfortable and keeps me awake and the next day my chest feels sore ☹️ Haven’t had a check up this year either I presume they’re too busy with Covid . I take 3 urso a day .thanks in advance for any advice .

Chest pain
Hi, I know we are susceptible to indigestion with PBC but any chest pain needs to be talked over with the GP. If in general your blood test are within acceptable levels then ask the GP to run the usual tests for PBC if for no other reason than peace of mind. If it turns out to be the URSO causing your chest pain then maybe changing time of dose may help. The GP knows your medical history best so I would urge you to make contact rather than think they are to busy with covid
I have had PBC for over 30 and have refux for about the same time. Don't wait to see your doctor, if it is reflux you can get help with it. Better be safe than sorry with any chest pain.
Yep I was like that for a long time , I have to say at time I thought I was having a stroke or heart attack ( sounds over the top doesn't it ? ) but turns out I had extreme acid reflux , my oesophagus was inflamed allowing all the acid into my chest ! I've been on Lansoprazole ever since ! It was diagnosed 10 yrs aģo , many times we have tried to reduce the mg from 30 to 15 but it doesn't work , I end up in agony & can't eat anything , so I still take 30 mg once a day & it works , it is yet another think that can be brought on by PBC , something you can look into anyway x
I have a condition known as oesophageal spasm. Feels like angina, but after going through all the heart tests they hit upon the oesophagus as being the problem. No remedy for it, but it can be coped with. At least I know I’m not dying of a heart attack when it happens!
Good morning. When I had problems with hiatal hernia, my esophagus would go into spasms. It did feel like a heart attack which is what led them to find the hernia. Take care.
Thanks for the replies I’ve found them all helpful and reassuring 😊
