tumor in spleen
my husband is having his spleen out very soon due to 2 tumors. We won’t know for sure if they are cancer until pathology done. He had radiation plus Lupron and has been in remission 2 years. 4 + 4 Psa still non detectable. Tumors picked up on pet scan to check kidney. Radiologist has said rare

Feeling really low
I posted here a few weeks ago regarding having an MRI for ongoing back pain. The MRI only showed degenerative changes, but also picked up a small lymph gland outside the pelvis. I’ve had to wait 4 weeks for a CT scan and get the results tomorrow. My mind is playing tricks on me I’m thinking the worse

My dad graduated from ICU today! Severe Pneumonia
Hello, Everyone: I have posted here about my dad who is in his late 70s. At the end of August, he was admitted to the hospital to remove a small benign cyst from his throat and two days after the surgery, he choked on water and yogurt that were served and developed aspirational pneumonia. Since it

Bronchoscopy
Tomorrow I am having a bronchoscopy and it's obviously necessary since I have lung involvement with my breast cancer. I am having a little anxiety about this procedure. I have a DVT under my left armpit where one of the cancer mass is with numerous blood clots. The surgeon said I will be asleep. Can

Is it ok to take azithromycin with paroxysmal Afb but no episodes for three years.
Consultant has prescribed azithromycin to be taken every three days because I did say I had an exacerbation two years ago, although I am not sure it actually was. Also this entails undergoing three ECGs a month apart. Don't like the sound off that. I also suffer mild bronchiectasis, so I suppose I am

Hi, Would like to have some feedback concerning a lesion found in my prostate from the MRI report. The PSMA report says that there is no cancer elsewhere… MRI states that the lesion is in the right posterior medial and posterolateral peripheral zone within the apex and mid portion…size 2.3x1.4x1.8

Hi Everyone! This is my first time posting and was hoping to get some feedback. My mom will be starting either Eribulin or Xeloda. DSNS Taper Question
Hi all, At a recent visit to my Rheumy, he told me I'm ready to taper once again. At the time, I was at 7 MG PRED per day. I had been sick with Bronchitis for more than a month, and also had to care for my wife who contracted pneumonia a month before that, so I was not able to taper during that time

Indeterminate liver lesion
I had an MRI 3 months ago that showed a 6cmx5cm lesion. I had a follow up 3 months later with eovist that showed same size, heterogenous "indeterminate lesion, possible adenoma". No one seems to know what this is and I am freaking out. Does anyone have any experience with this? Do I do a biopsy? Straight

Good news
I said recently in my post that I'm pleased not to dwell on the numbers and keep everything in perspective. But I still appreciate good news when it comes. This week I had a call from oncologist largely because she's liaising with my dentist about dental work. Basically she was telling me it was worth

Hi all, I posted on here little while ago about my mum having total abdo hysterectomy for ovarian cancer. We are now 3 weeks on from surgery. a 10cm cyst was removed which at the time, they assumed it was cancer. We went to her results and biopsy results yesterday. We were all extremely shocked
