Feeling really low

I posted here a few weeks ago regarding having an MRI for ongoing back pain. The MRI only showed degenerative changes, but also picked up a small lymph gland outside the pelvis. I’ve had to wait 4 weeks for a CT scan and get the results tomorrow.

My mind is playing tricks on me I’m thinking the worse. I spoke to my CNS and she said she will contact me after the MDT meeting in the morning.

The lymph node measured 0.8cm and the team felt it may be insignificant. My CA125 is 13.

I think it is just having the back pain which I find alarming.

I was stage2 B on diagnosis.

Has anybody else had a similar experience

Hello Hota

It’s really easy to assume that two things going on are related. We’ve got so used to bad news, I think we tend to go for ‘oh well that’s it…everything’s gone to sh1t’ just to get in first.

I am dealing with my lungs being’not right’ and something reported on an X-ray that ‘could be disease’ but as my oncologist pointed out, the thing was there in 2021…

Neither you nor I will know what the real explanation is until they are ready to tell us. My CT was delayed by 6 weeks and my next oncologist appointment not until December!

We have to navigate between being proactive and‘trying not to worry’ haha! I don’t really know how to do that but I am trying to get on one day at a time…

Hope you find a way forward xx

Lyndy, I just wanted to thank you for being so helpful and supportive to everyone on this site; despite your own on going medical issues. So sending a big hug and🙏

I don't have any insights but definitely understand how everything feels related to the C disease till we hear otherwise. I can only pray that you stay positive and that you hear good news soon.

Hi Hota, prior to my debulking surgery the CT scan had picked up several enlarged lymph nodes so they were removed and sent away to pathology along with my other bits! I was diagnosed with stage 2B the same as you and the lymph nodes were all negative. I was told they can be enlarged for example fighting of an infection. I have had my surgery and now on chemo. Fingers crossed that your lymph node is something similar and nothing to worry about. Take care.

Hello Hota

My MRI always shows degenerative changes in my spine due to my arthritis and lumbar spinal stenosis as my CA125 is a good indicator for me it increased in August my Oncologist ordered a Petscan I had very small lymph nodes light up in my pelvic area and clavicle if its one lymph node isolated in the pelvic area targeted radiation can be an option if it turns out to be a recurrence hopefully that's not the case. Your onc may do a biopsy to rule it out it wasn't painful for me.
