I'm 23 M Jak2 negative, bmb inconclusive, done in 2018

Recent peripheral smear shows anisocytosis and polychromasia. Is this worrisome feature? Am i landing up in something serious?

Anisocytosis = red blood cells that are of different sizes.

Polychromasia = more immature red blood cells than what's considered normal

Polychromasia (variation in colour of stained RBCs) and anisocytosis (variation in size of RBCs) are features of a regenerative anaemia. Polychromasia is due to early release of young cells from the bone marrow. vin.com/apputil/content/def....

In the context of a MPN there could be different reasons for this finding, including treatments you may be undergoing. This may not be a big deal, but neither is it something to ignore. Suggest that you take this finding back to your MPN Specialist for an answer.
