Indeterminate liver lesion

I had an MRI 3 months ago that showed a 6cmx5cm lesion. I had a follow up 3 months later with eovist that showed same size, heterogenous "indeterminate lesion, possible adenoma". No one seems to know what this is and I am freaking out. Does anyone have any experience with this? Do I do a biopsy? Straight to surgery? My liver specialist says I can choose which route I'd like to go but I'm lost. I would love some help and guidance, thank you. I'm just 37 years old very healthy, no symptoms, have 3 kids and I am so worried!

At your age definitely pursue and get a biopsy. I have similar but I'm 61 and not in the same hurry to find out.

Hi,

You should have a liver biopsy as that’s the only way to be sure what the lesion is.

Usually a straight forward procedure taking 30 minutes followed by bed rest and observations for about 4 hours to make sure all is ok.
