Tigger is bouncing around Winnie the Pooh, because he is happy his RLS is better
I was originally trialing 5 microgram 7 day patches that got me out of that dark tunnel but wasn’t 100% effective so after the initial 3 week trial I wrote to Dr Christopher Murphy explained the situation and he arranged for me to collect 10 microgram 7 day patches from Salford Royal Infirmary. I applied

Dr Glen Z brooks NYC
I met with Glen a couple of weeks ago , he is now 76 and no longer taking in new RLS patients It has become increasingly difficult for him to prescribe Buprenorphine the biggest problem is he cannot find doctors who will continue to prescribe for Buprenorphine when he is no longer working. Frequent/recurring UTIs and advice

From Buprenorphine Patch to Tablet: A Memoir
Hi All, The regulars on this site, and I count myself as one, may be familiar with my RLS story, but for the walk-ins, I will give a brief backstory. About 3 months ago I successfully stopped using the Neupro patch to treat my RLS. 25 years or more of using a dopamine agonist came to a screaming halt

Iodine and Povidone - A Chemistry Lesson
Over the years, we have seen many mentions of povidone-iodine. This video is the first time I have ever come across a proper explanation as to why povidone-iodine is chosen! It then continues with its aim of extracting pure iodine from povidone-iodine. The video could be very boring if you are

bulge at the front of vagina / not prolapse
Hey so during ovulation I have crazy pain, and a sensation of buzzing / vibrating that is so strong. In march the vibrations were worse than ever then one morning I woke up and there was a feeling of pressure in my vagina. I looked and it looked like there was something partially blocking the hole.

Sadly Not Just Thyroid Patients
I've been following the infected blood scandal with interest, basically thousands of patients in the 70's, 80's and early 90's were given blood transfusions/ products that were cheaply imported, often from USA, and not screened for Hep C. This was to save the NHS money. Unfortunately many people became

Hypothyroidism, chronic cystitis and histamine intolerance
Can anyone recommend good sources of information on the connection between hypothyroidism, recurrent cystitis and histamine/oxalate intolerance or possibly MCAS? I have had recurrent cystitis for many years, but in the past 2 years, it has become unbearable and I can be on antibiotics for weeks on end

Mildly Burning After Withdrawing From Neupro
Hi All, As I have posted before, recently I withdrew from Neupro with the help of Buprenorphine. It has been 6 weeks now without any dopamine agonist and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. Unfortunately, issues have come up recently that I thought someone might be able shine some light

Quick question please!
Hi all. I haven't been here for quite a long time but have been going through a really bad time. I had NSCLC Adenocarcinoma 5½ year's ago and had a Lobectomy. Approx. 2½ years ago I fractured my vertebrae and am now waiting for an ' urgent ' MRI to check for cancer in my spine. My question though is

Just when we thought it was safe
Radiation therapy is commonly used in the treatment of prostate cancer, but it is a carcinogen itself. Five years ago before my radiation no one told me about the risk of radiation-associated rectal cancer (RARC) . Those of us who have had EBRT have an additional problem in treatment if we get rectal

How dangerous is Pluvicto?
My brother-in-law finished the full set of Pluvicto treatments about four weeks ago. He’d done pretty well on the Pluvicto treatments. Two weeks later he and his wife started a short vacation but got a call from his oncologist to return home immediately. He was diagnosed with extensive cancer throughout

Decipher and me
I'm having trouble with my urology team that are doing my TRUS/Fusion biopsy next week. The doc is unwilling to send my sample out right away for Decipher. From what I understand, in my 'high risk' category, just based on MRI, genetic testing may be hugely helpful going forward. For the past week I've

I keep getting denied the CA-125 test!
52 y/o post-menopausal and was diagnosed with a 3.5 cm endo on my ovary. They were unsure what it was after the CT scan, unsure after the ultrasound. I then asked if I could get a CA-125 test because my aunt had ovarian cancer. Doctor said an MRI was better suited as they'd have to do that anyways no
