I'm currently on sertide and being switched over to symbicort. I'm not sure of the dosage etc as need to discuss further with gp. I'm a little concerned as been on seretide for years. When I get switched it triggers flares and I've already had loads of time of work. I work part time. I also think I'm

dipyridamole
I’m going to try this next week when I get an Rx. Looking for any pointers from anyone who has had success with it. I gather that 225mg is a common dose for RLS (three 75mg pills). I intend to start with one pill and titrate up to three quickly if there are no issues. I’m currently using buprenorphine

thrush in mouth
I have had antibiotics lately and have thrush in my mouth. I have been prescribed Nystan to take 4 times a day. The nurse /practioner said also rinse my mouth after using my steroid inhaler. The problem is do I rinse and spit or rinse and swallow? Swallowing is so much easier

Buprenorphine...help with prescription please!!
Since my neurologist retired and I found a new one, my pharmacy is not accepting his order for the buprenorphine because he's saying it's for RLS and the pharmacy is saying something about it is for pain but since this new neurologist isn't a pain doctor, he said he can't prescribe it that way even though

this might help
i’ve had scabies for the last month and a half, and I have done as much research as possible. Couldn’t find anything that was working for me today I took petroleum jelly, mixed it with tea tree oil, smothered my body in. It sat around in it for five hours, watching the scabies pour out of my body, wiping

Round 50?
Hi all - I've searched the forum trying to figure out the answer to my question but it all seems to vary so much. I am 3 years in on buprenorphine now with RLS being pretty well managed (WOOHOO). I had been struggling to lower that 2mg sublingual dose due to extreme fatigue. I had tried pregablin previous

I have been on here a few times and Jools and Sue saved my sanity! Other's have also been so kind so, thank you...again! I do have another question which I'm sure Jools and Sue can help me with. The 20 mcg Buprenorphine patch has helped my RLS hugely though I know it's lurking but I can now sleep which

looking for a neurologist
Can anyone recommend a neurologist knowledgeable in RLS in the Bristol/ Bath (England) area ? I currently have a neurologist whom I rate quite highly but who cannot prescribe opioids as they are not on the formulary of the hospital where she practises. She has however asked my GP to prescribe Oxycodone

Recurrent vaginal thrush- need urgent help
I had what looks like a vaginal thrush for the first time 3 weeks back. I'm 35 yrs old. My GP nurse saw me and suggested Canesten pessary. Aciclovir as prevention for shingles
I wish to express my deepest thanks to all fellow members who have responded to my recent enquiry. There has been consensus in all replies confirming that prescribing Aciclovir is standard practice.

I was diagnosed with non specific asthma 2 years ago at 69. My type starts with a tickle in the throat, coughing and sadly incontinence. My dad a smoker had cold. How many types of asthma are there. My friend says I probably only have chronic cough

Persistent cough and possible asthma diagnosis
Hello. I’m new here and keen to find out if other people with asthma have experienced the symptoms I have. I have had a persistent cough for about 4 months. Generally I feel a pressure in my chest and lower throat where it feels like a can’t breath. I then cough as this feels like it relieves the pressure

symbicort 200 user
Over 2 months ago I was dx with asthma, bronchitis and lower right pneumonia. My lungs were shit. I have been taking symbicort 2puffs 2x daily. Also taking Monttelukast 10 mg 1x a day. So if an expert or MD is in here I want to say I quit taking the symbicort completely and feel better not taking it.

Pneumococcal pneumonia vaccine - any link with PMR?
I have just realised that my recent flare, which led to the cancellation of my holiday, started the day after I had the pneumonia vaccine. I'm wondering if there could be a link?

Flirt Covid
Hello everybody, my recent Covid trip started on the 24th of July with four days of sore throat, which because of the heat wave I blamed on the ice in my drinks, by 29th (officially diagnosed) I felt nausea, no smell, no taste, horrible headache, cough, sinusitis, tired plus sore throat still here. Dry coughs
Hi everyone, I have had a persistent dry cough for about the last eight months. It has being given different diagnosis and put on treatments that haven't helped yet. This cough comes like a tickling sensation at the sides of my throat then I cough for about 2-3 minutes, drinking water doesn't stop

What causes cold sweats?
I’ve been taking Prednisolone for PMR since May 2021. I’ve been very gradually reducing and have been on 4mg for 1 month. I take the Pred at about 5am with yoghourt and banana. I had Covid 2 weeks ago. I didn’t up the Pred dose. I have no PMR pain. I feel ok in the mornings but have high anxiety

Feeling cold all the time
Hi, I have scleroderma and reynauds and while I am used to having cold hands and feet of late I am very cold all over, even my core. I was wondering if I might be low on some vitamins or minerals and was hoping someone might be able to advise. Regards, Darren
