Change in inhalers

I'm currently on sertide and being switched over to symbicort. I'm not sure of the dosage etc as need to discuss further with gp. I'm a little concerned as been on seretide for years. When I get switched it triggers flares and I've already had loads of time of work. I work part time. I also think I'm OK on sertide as been on for over 15 years.

I also think I'm just being swapped onto a lot to wait and see which I dont like.

I'm also on Ciclesonide, Spirivia inhalers as well as tablets and biological therapy.

I normally have trouble with inhaler switches and can take a month or to settle.

I would hope here that your ciclesonide and biological is doing the heavy lifting in settling your asthma and they are staying unchanged.

Have they told you why they are switching you. I would ask your GP to explain the reasoning. If then in doubt ring the asthma UK helpline to get their comments.
