Antibiotics for UTI symptoms
I suspect I have endometriosis after years of painful periods, painful sex and occasional bloating. My symptoms were menstruation specific. The last 2 years I have been almost been symptom free (for some unknown reason) but since Feb I have been having the classic tugging pain from my upper abdomen down

D Mannose
Hello everyone Just wondered if anyone here has used D Mannose tablets to manage recurrent urinary tract infections and if so with what success? I’ve had this problem for a few years now and the Urologist suggested daily low dose antibiotics which I want to avoid. Despite trying all of the self

Hi all, has anyone got confirmed bladder endometriosis? I'm interested to hear about symptoms and whether you saw your gynaecologist or/and a urologist. Thanks!

I have had long term UTIs arising post radiation therapy. I also have bile salts malabsorption which causes bowel issues so it’s not always easy to keep myself as clean as I would like and I have been told this is likely to be the cause of the repeated UTIs Up until recently for approx 6 years

UTI issues
Hi all, Is it quite common to see blood in the urine with a UTI? My doctor says so but Googling has me believe it’s a kidney infection and I’m on the wrong antibiotics. I’ve had a UTI in the past and had the burning and pain but no visible blood? Thanks

Perhaps an odd question! As well as thyroid disease I have a long history of Chronic UTI and high alkaline urine. I suspect a link! The C-uti has been treated, with minimal success , with various prophylactic and treatment doses of antibiotics. It flares up frequently. Previously I've tried

Now it feels like a uti has started and gp had given me more antibiotics but if I taje them it will make the thrush so much

Has anyone tried Fenix's MicroVita Focus?
Here’s the company description: "MicroVita® Focus provides 6 clinically proven probiotic strains, each with clinical support for maintaining proper dopamine and serotonin regulation as well as absorption of essential nutrients. Three prebiotics were included to nourish these specific probiotic strains

suboxone podcast
I don’t know if it’s available everywhere, but The Atlantic magazine has a podcast called Radio Atlantic. They have a current series titled Scripts. The Aug 8 show is all about using buprenorphine (mainly suboxone) to treat Opioid addiction. Nothing new here, but it sheds a little light on why buprenorphine

Aspergillus fumigatus
Both my wide and self have recently had Covid. symptoms seem to be dragging on and wife`s doctor told her to get a sputum test done. Finally after 2 weeks the results have arrived and she has Aspergillus fumigatus, a fungal infection in her lungs. Does anyone, with bronchiectais have any experience

Doxycycline long term use
Hi, I’m 11 months into my 15 month treatment for CLL. I’m on Ibrutinib with Venetoclax and it’s suited me well, and I’m really pleased that my bloods now appear to be normal. I’m also on Co-Trimoxazole antibiotic and Aciclovir antiviral to deal with any infections should they arise during my treatment

Influenza A
So I contracted Influenza A and was pretty ill for 4 days but still not so good despite 6 days on Tamiflu. Wondering if anyone has 1 had influenza and how it went 2 if my decision to take Tamiflu for 10 instead of 5 days is reasonable ( my docs have always doubled the time for antibiotics for bacterial

Frequent/recurring UTIs and advice

Buprenorphine Depression Again
Hi All, As I have written before, I live in Brasil where the only access I have to Buprenorphine is in the form of a patch. And it is expensive. So when I was in California recently, I asked my neurologist to write a prescription for Buprenorphine in tablet form. With my insurance it is quite cheap.

Hi everyone, I just got a yeast infection after so many years. I went to Dr. and they gave me 150 mg of Diflucan. I took it and after the first day I started to feel better.
