Feeling cold all the time

Hi,

I have scleroderma and reynauds and while I am used to having cold hands and feet of late I am very cold all over, even my core.

I was wondering if I might be low on some vitamins or minerals and was hoping someone might be able to advise.

Regards,

Darren

Morning Deiseboy,

It always worth getting some blood test done at your GPs to check, personally I have low iron and get Vitamin B12 injections every 3 months.

Good luck Darren

Hello. I was diagnosed in Dec 2022 and for the following 18 months I felt very under par and always cold. While I still feel the cold more than others, I am now able to go outside on a summers day (without a coat and gloves) and not freeze. I take symbiotics every morning (pre and pro biotic) and use curcumin drops in some juice. I honestly believe so many of us suffer from gut imbalance and I now feel as strong as I did before I had my first Raynauds attack in May 22. I know it may sound a bit odd but we now know how good health starts with your gut but for immediate relief from feeling cold perhaps invest in a heated gillet. I hope you can warm up soon.

Many people with R &S have underactive Thyroids including myself which can cause these symptoms. May be worth asking for a blood test. I take Levothyroxine . Best wishes

I agree with the heated gilet suggestion, it does warm the core.

I have recently found that my nose becomes very cold due to raynauds. You can’t exactly put a glove on your nose 🤭 I’ve read that you should always keep your nose warm as this is the main pathway to prevent inhaling bugs & virus like the common cold etc….any ideas or thoughts?

I agree about getting your thyroid levels tested. Very common cause of feeling cold.

Me too. It's unbearable at times. Especially at work. I have to wear several thin layers and a neck tie scarf. If I don't warm up I do star jumps in the loo! 🤣
