Blocked sinuses?
Is anyone else really suffering with blocked sinuses? It’s now developing into a full blown cold which I have no idea how I got it as have been isolating for weeks! I’m 9 weeks and just feel so run down and exhausted and my blocked nose isn’t helping me to sleep. Any tips or tricks as I can’t take any

BAT, dutasteride, and my search for truth, Part 1 of 2
I have received many helpful comments on my queries about BAT and dutasteride. Overall, the evidence favors continuing dutasteride during BAT (Nalakrats opined “I would use to defend against DHT, which would be increased. And I would watch E2, and not let it get out of the 20's.”) But I have trouble

This was a great run. I did 9.45 km in under 10 minutes which is a record for me. It was cold but not too cold. I have a nice route and now the run isn’t about each step but each segment of the route. The music was good but I’ve had enough of the Aladdin soundtrack, especially because it’s the “new”

Bleeding almost constantly for 3 months
I started taking desogestrel contraceptive pill three months ago and have more a less bled continuously. I appreciate my body will take a few months to adjust, but this is inconvenient and getting me down. Should I persist?

Hi guys, thought I'd post a quick update as it might help someone else sometime. I have cough predominant asthma, which means coughing is my main symptom but I do sometimes wheeze when I'm really bad, and I also can get tight and short of breath. I was discharged from hospital on 10th November after

Has anyone been told they cannot have a flu jab?
Has anyone been told they cannot have a flu jab because they have not had a prescription for their inhaler for a period of time? I have received an NHS letter, however, my doctors surgery feels that I am not eligible. Although I am lucky enough for my asthma to be under control at the moment, I am still

Sir Sean Connery RIP
Recently left us all after a fine acting career. He died in his sleep at age 90. The cause of death was posted as pneumonia and it was noted that he suffered from AFIB. Perhaps an inspiration to us all.

Flu shot ?
Are people with APS or compromised immune system not suppose to get the flu shot? My dr says I should as I also have IGA deficiency (barely have this in my system). I was doing IVIG infusions until a few years later I had a bad reaction - so I stopped them. I’m a lil confused as I read different things

feeling the cold!
Hi all, I think I wrote about this a few weeks ago when we had a tiny cold spell, but now the cold is here for good (probably) I am shocked by how I just cannot tolerate it. This morning, I was about to take the dog out just when my friend rang, the heating was just going off so I sat on the sofa with

Forgot to ask.
Do any of you suffer from very cold hands and feet or is it just me. Or is it norm for the likes of us.

Advice re: Flu Vaccination and chemotherapy/Avastin
Hello, has anyone had the Flu vaccination since coming off chemotherapy? I finished chemo 7 weeks ago, but I'm still having Avastin/(Bevacizumab), every 3 weeks, but i'm worried about having the Flu vaccine, (as I've avoided having any vaccinations for 27 years, since I was diagnosed with M.E/Chronic

14 day quarantine from child who has received live flu vaccine needed?
My 11 year old daughter, who lives with my ex is getting a flu jab tomorrow. The school nurse has advised us not to have contact for 14 days as it is a live vaccine. Is this necessary? I had my own jab a month ago.

New study explains important cause of fatal influenza
It is largely unknown why influenza infections lead to an increased risk of bacterial pneumonia. Researchers at Karolinska Institutet have now described important findings leading to so-called superinfections, which claim many lives around the world every year. The study is published in the journal PNAS
