Fatigue from ET or hydroxycarbamide
I was diagnosed with ET over 10 years ago. My main effect of ET is fatigue. This is very variable. Some days I feel fine but on other days it is a bit of a struggle to keep going. This seem to happen mostly on the 2 days a week when I have to take 2 hydroxy tablets. Although I am retired, I do a lot

Is this unusual ?
Had chest pain etc at start of a walking holiday abroad. Next 7 days walked 60 miles - kept getting out of breath. 10 days later no symptoms but went to GP who put me on aspirin and statins and referred to cardiology. Due to covid took 6 months to get scan - not conclusive but confirmed I had a problem

Bruising
Hi All, I am on various drugs (75mg Asprin one a day, 90mg Ticagrelor twice a day, 8mg Candesartan one a day, 40mg Atorvastatin one a day) - I know that some of these (Don't know which ones) thin my blood and will cause me to bruise much more easily. My question is;- Is there anything I can do / take

ET Progression?
Just wondered if anyone can offer any advice on what signs and symptoms to look out for that might suggest that ET has progressed to MF. Prior to my diagnosis of ET JAK 2 early last year, I had several months of left side abdominal pain, I had a scan but nothing untoward was found. I also had severe

Hydroxycarbamide and Dentistry
Hello, just wondering if any of you have had any dental issues while on Hydroxycarbamide? My Haem. specialist advised there are not many problems. I need two fillings and he advised I can have the fillings while on HU, just would have to stop aspirin approx 5/7 days prior. Thank you

Aspirin/Clopedogrel alternative?
I have my "annual review" coming up soon, unless I "slip through the net" again, in which I am going to bring up the fact that both of these drugs are having side effects on me that I am getting a bit fed up with, and would like to know what alternatives there are. Ever since coming off the dual medication

I have Jak 2 and ET. My platelet count is 700. The other labs are good.
The doc says I am stable and can continue on just a baby aspirin . I am somewhat relieved but worry about progression. I was diagnosed over 21/2 years ago after noticing blood work with a slowly creeping up platelet count Is it inevitable that numbers will continue upward and necessitate more drugs

Three common medications lower risk and mortality for lung cancer.
All three medications are common—approximately 35 million people take a statin to control cholesterol; more than 120 million people take metformin to control diabetes and between 6 and 10 million people take aspirin daily. The aim of this study was to investigate the associations of aspirin, metformin

Good morning my ms family. I think last night was a better nights sleep, and I hope it was for “YOU”. No ms gremlins running in my head and face, at least none that I noticed, and let me assure “YOU” when they are playing on my Trigeminal nerve I notice it. So life is good for me and I hope it is
