Stopping taking aspirin prior to elective c section at 36/37 weeks
So yesterday I saw my consultant and we discussed my birth plan. I wished to have natural birth until my due date, and have elective CS if haven’t started labour by my due date. So a date has already been booked for this. Am having CS because of a previous one I had with my daughter. About a month ago

Aspirin with a mechanical valve?
I previously had a tissue valve, this time (two years later) I've been fitted with a mechanical one. This time I will be on warfarin for life, an annoyance I am prepared to accept. I was reading... "rabbit hole style" an american article where they also recommend daily aspirin between 50-100mg. I was

Join pain is it heart related
Hello. I was having left hand & left side face numbness two years prior to my heart attack (Dec 2019), but was told it’s some elbow nerve damage by a neurologist. Then it went away after a stent to LDA. Now almost a year later I’m having pain in left shoulder feeling heat on my left thumb , while cold

Shifting location of GCA pain during eating
I am a 76 yr old man, adequately fit and usually very healthy. One month ago, I phoned my doctor who had me in within two hours, put me on 60mg steroids, amitriptyline, omeprazole and 75mg aspirin and sent off blood for testing. The results, unfortunately, confirmed her diagnosis of GCA. I have been

Could anyone tell me why some people do better than others? Are there many strains out there of PCa? I haven't had a PSA in like 3 months but I've had a .04 last time. I was diagnosed in mid 2012 and it's been lupron and Xtandi. I'm at NIH in a clinical trial but others I've known there have died. When

Post Stent: Fatigue aches and insomnia
Hi, I had a stent fitted a month ago after collapsing during a stress test in hospital. After the stent was fitted I was sent home with a leaflet and my medication. The nurses were superb, however, I wasn't really 'with it' when discharged so didn't ask many questions. For the first week I felt much

Throat issues.
Hi there. I had heart attack in September and also heart failure diagnosis. When I am moving around or walking I get a dry throat and a feeling like trapped air in my throat, I can continue the walk for 20 mins and don’t get breathless but I’m left with a sore throat. My GP thinks it’s a side effect

Painful morning
Ouch wrenched my back lifting shrubs in pots to move them into winter storage. Have a bad back from a riding accident when I was younger and I never know when it will become painful. Just what you need on top of everything else! Haven’t done it for a while but it can make getting up very difficult.
