Hi. I'm currently on Ramipril, Atorvastatin, Amlodipine and low dose aspirin after a mild heart attack three years ago.
Recently the government has recommended Vitamin D to help strengthen the immune system and help to ward off coronavirus. I've bought some 25mg tablets, or 1000 IUs which both myself and my husband are taking - about a week now.
Is the dose I am taking okay with the heart meds above? They won't go to waste as my partner will still continue to take them even if I don't.

On my GP's advice I take Vit D at the same level as you, but I stop around end of March and start again end of Sept, I find I get plenty during the spring/summer months, providing we see the sun of course!
Thanks. I was due my annual check up - bloods to be taken etc - but was told the hospital was struggling to fulfil demand so it was postponed. I didn't mind as I'm happy with my meds and state of health.
hi they are fine. i am also taking b12 and bilberry tablet as i was feeling tired all the time. garlic is good in tablet form if you dont like it in your food. hope this helps. stay safe.
