Can anyone tell me if the vaccine produced for covid 19 in Germany which is meant to be out soon is a live one as I have been told by my haematologist that I cannot have live vaccines I suffer from PV and take hydroxycarbamide and aspirin. Thankyou

My understanding is that it’s not live it’s a new type of vaccine Nucleic acid vaccines mRNA. - works differently to conventional vaccines.

hello Hughley, I’ve spoken with Prof Claire Harrison and she has just confirmed that the Pfizer vaccine is NOT a live vaccine. In the U.K. she believes all decisions regarding MPN Patients having the Pfizer vaccine will be taken bearing in mind individual risk. Vaccine v Disease. Best wishes, Maz
