I’m taking aspirin and dr is

MRI Summary
Hi All I was wondering if someone could help me with the results of my latest Cardiac MRI. I have intially been diagnosed with HCM and this was a 6 monthly scan. However the clinical comments in the report have got me worried. The bit that has got me concerned is where it mentions significant MI

Advice on Rosuvastain side effects and alternatives?
I am a 68 year old male and in 2020 I had OHS to replace a Bicuspid Aortic Valve and to repair an ascending aortic aneurysm. My recovery has overall been very good and eventually I have settled into a stable medication regime. I am currently on: 2.5mg Bisoprolol daily 25mg Ramipril twice a day 75mg

Hello! I have been aware for several months to what I am calling my “half moon face”. The left side of my face has been slightly swollen. Tests for failed implantation - worth it at 43?
Hi all, sorry, it's me again.I've had 4 failed fresh cycles last year (1 single and three double transfers). I think the main reason that these have failed is due to embryo quality. Some of the transfers were early blastocysts/ morulas and they weren't top grade. However my consultant has suggested

Afib and CAD double trouble and their vicious cycle
CAD (coronary artery disease) is a subset of a process disease called atherosclerosis, plaques of mainly fat build up inside arteries leading to intraluminal stenosis.. I post this one to draw attention to all of us, afibers, not trying to scare any of us. The purpose of this post is to do the right

Long term lansoprazole use
Hello community, I haven't been very active on here of late, life is so busy! My question is regarding lansoprazole. I was prescribed it when the aspirin and then the clopidogrel I take for ET was causing issues with my stomach lining. Now, it's my understanding that long - term use can cause malabsorption

Parkwalk
Hey Everyone I've just completed my first parkwalk, I missed running and did want to run it (I might have jogged a tiny bit) and my time was 51:28 which ironically was my first Parkrun time back in the summer, way before we even knew I had any heart issues. I had my GTN spray, Asthma inhaler and am

Should I take aspirin 300 mgs at home if I think I may be having a stroke despite being on an anticoagulant for atrial fibrillation?
The chances of getting an NHS CT head scan quickly enough to decide whether it’s safe to give clot busting drugs aren’t so good at the moment. I think a cerebral embolus may still be more likely than a cerebral haemorrhage, so aspirin seems logical. Maybe I’ll ask my GP ….. I should say I’m not having

As hunter had said to let you know. ....
Well I eventually got my discharge letter from our haematology department. It stated my bloods were high for a long time most likely infection and he would be happy to see me again if I developed any other symptoms or my platelets went above 650. (Not the 450 stated on the WHO for et). In December

Hey Everyone Thanks for all the comments on me doing the parkrun at the weekend. I've taken all the comments on board and I've decided I'm going to walk it. I've run the course before and as I've volunteered since my heart attack I know a lot of the regular volunteers so I'm going to let them know I'm
