New insight into how anti-inflammatory effects of omega-3 fatty acids could help reduce depression
Research led by King’s College London has, for the first time, shown that when omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) are given to patients with depression they are metabolised into molecules called lipid mediators and the levels of these in the blood are linked to an improvement in symptoms. Hello everyone, hope you have a wonderful day ahead! 🤗 I’m so excited to make Chia jam this late afternoon as I looked it up on YouTube how to make it. It is so quick, easy, no mess, healthy and tasty. 😋👍 I love how no sugar added and no canning process needed. It can last in the fridge about one

This could be a long one, so I apologise in advance. In 2013 I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer so had the thyroid removed and had radioactive iodine. In 2016 it came back in the lymph nodes so I had 5 removed from “level 7” since then things haven’t been quite right. I used to run 5k quite easily

Bone pain in myelofibrosis
Hello, all! I had to write to you because I’m desperate for answers. I was in the emergency room last Wednesday for what I thought was just a kidney infection. The pain in my lower back was unbearable and I couldn’t even stand or walk. They did all kinds of tests and confirmed my suspicions and sent

Graves or Hashimoto’s or something else??
So I have over the years, and recently, had elevated TPO antibodies, tons of hyper/hypo symptoms and blood tests that fluctuate. My TSH is often low and even out of range and occasionally my Free Ts have been out of range high. I’ve always assumed I had hashimoto’s but never been bad enough on bloods

Omega-3 Poison for Cancer Tumors
What do you think? Omega-3 Poison for Cancer Tumors Thanks to the support of the Fondation Louvain, the Belgian Cancer Foundation, and the Télévie telethon, the team quickly identified that these acidotic tumor cells responded in diametrically opposite ways depending on the fatty acid they were absorbing

Is Advil or Tylenol an issue for pain relief after surgery?
I’ve been taking Motrin or Advil and sometimes Tylenol for pain. It’s been 8 days and can foresee another possible week. I’m woke up feeling startled and I’m not sure if it’s the medication affecting the b12 or what it is exactly but it reminds me of how I felt during the nightmare of realizing it

Painful joints and sciatica
I was prescribed codeine and paracetamol 30/500mg in 2019. I am now fully addicted. I am also taking Gabapentin 3 times a day 9 a day and anti depressants. My doctor is uncaring, no patient/doctor relationship atall. He's very detached and I hate seeing him! Looking to move surgeries soon

Severe iodine deficiency & Hashimoto's
Hi all, I'm still struggling after 3+ horrible years. I have Hashimoto's and a really bad doctor took me off all meds for 2 years (2019 and 2020) and labs barely stayed in range (TSH around 3.5 (.4 - 4/5), Free T4 around 1 (.8 - 1.7) and Free T3 around 2.8 (2 - 4.4). I literally thought I was going

Update on my Endo stand off!
Hi, I posted a while ago how I’m a long term user of carbimazole 24+ years now and how my endo was trying to force radio iodine therapy on me. So I backed out of the consultation and my endo got very cross and sent my doc a letter asking ‘as this patient has refused treatment, could you monitor bloods

Hi just looking for a bit of advice for analgesia. I've got NAFLD cirossis stage 4. I am suffering at the moment with a flare up of diverticulitis and need to take analgesia. I know NSAID's are a no no , but codeine is that ok ? I've looked around for info but not really found an answer.
