over medicated and breathless
hi, 25 years ago I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease, can’t remember results but I was severely underweight, terrible tremors, sweating, resting heart rate was around 140 and had little to no voice. At the time my personal circumstances meant I couldn’t have the recommended surgery or radioactive iodine

Please help
Ive posted in the past regarding my thyroid tests which have been up and down. I'm on 100 levo due to RAI 20yrs ago. I have had severe anxiety due to a gastritis flare up. I've lost 2 stone in 4months and medicated via SSRIs and Diazepam but I'm getting worse by the day. My last thyroid test was

Restarting methotrexate after Covid
When I tested positive for Covid on June 5 my rheumatologist said to stop the methotrexate and my 2.5 mg of prednisone. I did really well for over two weeks and then my wrists and hands flared up as bad as when I was first diagnosed ( 2015) with RA. I was told to wait to restart the methotrexate until

2.5 Years — We did good
So we have done our very best to avoid getting COVID for two and a half very long years … Today I officially have COVID, and Momma is showing signs. She tested negative yesterday, but we will test again on Saturday. We are double vax and boosted. It’s like a really bad summer cold - I had a bad day

Continuing to taper per medical guidance. Down to 11mg from 15mg. Starting to feel generalized body aches like I have a low grade fever. So, take Tylenol (acetaminophen) and body aches go away. Interesting, when I do take the Tylenol I break out in sweats like a fever broke. Prednisone withdraw side

Pregabalin, Dosage thoughts?
Hi, I restarted Pregabalin in Feb. this year partly I have to say out of desperation, there being nothing else prescribeable available to me, GP had allowed me to trial Codeine but it took 90mg to suppress symptoms and there was no way that was going to be viable long term, more potent Opioids were

help managing palpitations
I have had to stop taking Carbimazole because I am going to have radio active iodine in 7 days. I have been told to ‘manage’ my palpitations by taking propranolol. I had previously stopped taking it because my thyroid levels were down to normal (on Carbimazole) and I had no heart symptoms. But since

To take or not to take...iodine?
I know this is a controversial subject, but would like to know if anyone with Hashimoto´s has taken iodine and noticed any benefits? The doctor who prescribed Erfa for me also prescribed Lugol´s iodine solution (12%). I have chosen not to take it as I have read so many times that it should be avoided

Gastrografin - Yes or No?
I am due a CT Colonography and have been given Gastrografin to take prior to this. On the bottle it says "If you have an allergy to iodine do not take Gastrografin". I have Hashimotos and have been taking 100mcg Levothyroxine for many years. Should I be taking this? Has anyone had experience of

Red patches on elbows caused by heart medication?
I’ve noticed a large red patch, slightly raised, on one elbow (outside) and a much less noticeable pinkish one on the other. I rubbed some witch hazel on it which seemed to have made it even redder. It doesn’t itch and might have been there for a few weeks without my noticing it When I googled for

Good site for vegan nutrition info and some supplements I take
https://veganhealth.org/daily-needs/ For a good B12 source would recommend the 3 natural form supplement here : https://www.sunday.de/en/vitamin-b12/. 500mcg per day is a good safe dosage. You cannot overdose on B12 and although 500mcg seems like a lot, only an estimated 6-7mcg are absorbed of this

Any suggestions as to how to stop spotting?
hey We’ve been TTC since November. No luck yet. I’ve got stage 4 endometriosis and I’m constantly spotting each month. Sometimes it’s only 2 or 3 days before period, sometimes it’s 7 days before period. One day it’ll be brown and the next bright red. Every month I know I’m not pregnant because of
