We’ve been TTC since November. No luck yet. I’ve got stage 4 endometriosis and I’m constantly spotting each month. Sometimes it’s only 2 or 3 days before period, sometimes it’s 7 days before period. One day it’ll be brown and the next bright red. Every month I know I’m not pregnant because of the spotting. It’s defiantly not the start of a period. I get no cramps, I barely feel it. I’ve had hormone tests and all have come back normal. I’m just wondering how I’ll even get pregnant with this bleeding every single month. Any suggestions as to what I can take so stop it? I have a very healthy diet, minimal alcohol this year. I take endo supplements, fertility supplements, omega 3, milk thistle, vitamin d and magnesium.
Many thanks

I don’t have endo but I had a really weird time a couple of years ago where I spotted for about 3 months and the gp prescribed me northisterone which seemed to reset things.
Worth pursuing again with gp and seeing if they will refer you to consultant to see if they have any suggestions?
I had this for years and years. It seems to be due to a combo of low progesterone and progesterone resistance. My IVF consultant would not prescribe luteal progesterone, however, and told me I just needed IVF. The good news is with high dose progesterone I managed to get pregnant on the second round. My LO is now 8 months 😊. I believe endo causes progesterone resistance so potentially this might be the cause. Vitamin C can increase progesterone (750mg a day) but if you’re resistant that may or may not help. Xx
Thank you for this! It is good to know. Atm we’re of course hoping not to go down the ivf route but will have to see what happens if we need it! Annoyingly I’ve had like 4 progesterone tests over the past 2 years and they all came back within normal range which is even more confusing.
I will bear this in mind though for when we speak with the doctor in December! Thank you xx
If you’re progesterone resistant then you could have lots but your body basically ignores it. When I took progesterone I needed both vaginal (so it got to the right place) and high dose injectable. Depending on the doctor they may poo poo progesterone problems. I hate sounding like I know better as I’m a medical person myself, but honestly going on research papers etc it’s just poorly understood xx
interesting! I will look into this and speak with the doctor about it thank you xx congratulations on your baby! I bet you’re so relieved and the moon now!
