healthy fats
I have just got my cholesterol down to 5.1 after 3 months of severely restricting fats but don’t think my diet is healthy. I have read a lot about good fats from fish, seeds, omega 3 ect and use an online app to measure my daily fat intake.. I measure how much fat should I take each day? Using an app

I had the worst pain of my life last night. I couldn’t get out of bed for 1.5 hrs!
I come on here sometimes to have a good moan. I’ve had RA since i was 21. (30 yrs). Plus Iritis & Glaucoma. I’ve had an awful time the last month. First i had a very painful flare of my Iritis. Deep throbbing, burning, aching in my right eye, very bad vision. Had to go to Moorfields a&e. Went at about

My latest CBCs etc on Besremi
A bunch of us are posting our latest. Here's my summary. -Past 5 Bes doses were 75,75,100,100,120. -All the counts we watch are doing well. HCT= 43.7, down from 44.4 prior. This is likely from the dose increase from 75. PLT holding at 288, Neut slightly up at 2.5, in its normal fluctuations.

Non-medical pain relief in pregnancy?
I'm 5 weeks pregnant, and my endo has been plaguing me. My GP and others keep telling me that the pregnancy hormones should kick in and suppress the endo symptoms, but I'm still waiting! I am taking token paracetamol and considering codeine, but am nervous about the potential risks so would rather

Feedback on private Blood tests please, before my Endo appt..
I posted earlier this month asking for advice before I see my Endo at the end of November. I've not been feeling too great and my Endo put me on Hrt as my levels were all in range and he thinks my symptoms are perimenopausal rather than thyroid. (graves/Rai Oct 21) I feel it's a mixture of both. Hrt

Advice on Medichecks Results Please
Hello, my first time posting! As advised on this forum I stopped Meds 24hrs before test, it was at 9.20 in the morning. The only supplement I take is Colecalciferol 800unit capsules prescribed by GP as at one point I had extremely low vitamin D. I’m on Levothyroxine 100mcg daily (Accord). I was diagnosed

Iodine in yoghurt...and the possibility of it interfering with correct blood test result.
I am dairy free and I have just had my Thyroxine reduced from 125 mg to 100mg. My question is that the Tesco plant based soya plain yoghurt that I normally would have, now has iodine added. One fifth of a pot, my normal consumption, contains 45.0µg iodine. I am due to have a retest to see if the reduction

Ah my foes and oh my friends. I'm baaack.
My back! The pain in my back has had me crazy all day, and it's getting worse. I couldn't imagine why it hurt so much on the trip home from the neurologist this morning. I took a couple Tylenol (paracetamol) as soon as I got here. I thought the pain would be gone by now. It's late night, and the pain

Nighttime angina
I have mild ischaemic heart disease and had occasional exercise-related attacks of angina which now seem well-controlled on Nicorandil 10mg, half-tablet am and pm. A few months ago, I had surgery on a badly-broken femur, and a number of temporary medications including morphine and codeine. Since then

Think I'm just starting out... Heart Inflammation/Myocarditis
Hi all, I've replied to a couple of posts so far but not actually written one myself. I'm not usually one for writing spiels but I'm wondering if it might be cathartic for me, and maybe someone can offer more insight, or get some from this. This seems to be a lovely, supporting space from what I've

Request for assistance in interpreting blood test when GP is satisfied but I am not, and still feel terrible...
Hello, first post here after a couple of months reading. I was diagnosed hypothyroid about twelve years ago and given radioactive iodine treatment (and little alternative - I knew very little then and was scared into it by talk of heart attacks, etc). Since then I have been on levthyroxine. My dosage

MRI with Iodine
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Currently on 10mg and experiencing aches On Wednesday I had MRI with Iodine for contra imaging. All went well, Thursday no pain at all, Friday big pains again, so iodine for me at least was good. Plus I will add I flew to Spain on Thursday. It’s just

Tylenol and blood glucose readings
About 5 or 6 weeks post-transplant I noticed that my blood draw would indicate my blood sugar was 92, but when I got home it was 138. Those were about 20 min apart (only drinking water in between). I decided to consult Dr Google about this inconsistency. I found an article that said with the blood

Scalp nerve pain
Hello, I’m new to this group. I’m waiting to be seen by a Neurologist who specializes in headaches, but have been started on treatment for Trigeminal Neuralgia by my Primary doctor. He believes I have a form of Trigeminal Neuralgia, based on how my scalp pain began suddenly and how it has behaved. I

Gutted after consultation
Carrying on from my previous posts, I spoke to a private consultant again tonight. He has a good track record apparently and is a surgeon too.Anyway I emailed my recent results and he said I wouldn't benefit from T3. He thinks my blood tests are all ok and within range. My free Thyroxine according to
