Not reacting well to T3
Hello All, I wonder if there are people here who have not reacted well to T3? This is the second time I'm trying to take it. First time, it was about 5 years ago when I needed to raise my T3, it was at 20% range. I took just 5mcg of compounded T3 as per my Doc advice and started to feel anxious,

Unbearable back pain
Hi - I am just wondering what pain relief people take for severe nerve pain? I have DDD. I had a badly herniated disc with was operated on. It caused nerve damage so I have sensation issues in my lower right leg. I get pain periodically in my back. I ended up in hospital on Saturday due to severe pain

Legs like blocks of ice and painful
My husband is 86 with well controlled diabetes and his legs are often like blocks of ice and extremely painful. Have tried Tramadol, Neurontin, Tylenol, Ibuprofen with little help. Baclofen does help when adding it to the above. Does anyone have this and know of the source or cause? I fear its damage

Restless Legs using sleeping pill
I have had RLS for years. It started getting irritating in my 40's and continued to get worst. I am now 85 and on Methadone, trying to withdraw from it because it is hard to get in Las Vegas. I am down to .5mg at night. I gave up my noon pill because of constipation.. I was getting very little sleep

‘Supplementing’ supplements with whole-foods.
Before Parkinson’s symptoms came into my husband’s life, we generally tried to get all our nutrients from the food we ate (and had to supplement B12, D, and omega 3 because of a plant-based diet). Since following sites like this, we have added more B vitamins (B complex, B1, more B12), and magnesium

A brief respite and now back with a vengeance
I suffer from restless legs syndrome and was prescribed pramipexole. I started a reduction program several months ago and by September I was down to half a tablet today. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to have a mastectomy 3 moths ago. Unbeknown to me the surgery temporarily raised my ferritin

post Papillary Thyroid Cancer
had full thyroidectomy and neck dissection in May 2022 which removed 24 lymph nodes and 2 parathyroid glands as well. All good, apparently now cancer free. Was not able to have RAI as had apparently had thyroiditis (picked up when thyroid examined post op). Was on 100 mg levothyroxine and felt

Hello everyone ! I had a complete thyroidectomy in August. Initially, I had been taking the generic Levothyroxine. I immediately had horrible symptoms of crushing depression and extreme fatigue. My doctor boosted me up to 125 mg and there was no difference. I looked online and read that some people

Can I Reduce The Symptoms of ADHD Taking These Supplements?
Hi everyone, I am diagnosed with ADHD last week. My psychiatrist prescribed me Strattera (Atomoxetine). I have heart arryhtmia and learned that it is not recommended to use Straterra if you have heart arryhtmia. Also I learned that sudden deaths and stroke have been reported in adults taking atomoxetine

Maybe now the cruelty can stop
The U.S. CDC, doctors and organizations who, directly or indirectly, inhumanely reduced and/or cut people off from opioids for pain or RLS now have a chance to redeem their cruel decisions based on new CDC guidelines (link below) released 11/03/22. Huge anxiety 2-3 days after Radioactive Iodine treatment
Hi, I hope someone can help/advise. After 2 1/2 years on carbimazole for Grave's disease (5mg for the last year or so), I've had RAI. It was administered on Tuesday, I felt ok until bedtime on Thursday - settled in bed but felt paniky, very conscious of my heartbeat and breathing, felt the need

Iodine Ideal Range
Dr. Christianson has written another interesting article on iodine deficiency / iodine excess. Many have asked "what is the ideal range"? Here is what Dr. Christianson has found: https://www.drchristianson.com/blog/symptoms-iodine-deficiency/?inf_contact_key=64da1575574c57b3fa4d38e51ab23a3f3ab49f51ea730ee15151c7d3d2737089
