News on Dr Malcolm Kendrick and Zoe Harcombe's Legal Battle
A huge win yesterday (25 June 2024) in the above case against "The Mail on Sunday (Associated Newspapers) and Barney Calman, Health Editor of the Mail on Sunday", which has been on-going for 5 years and (for those not aware) has been over both Dr Kendrick and Zoe Harcombe stepping outside prevailing

coq10 use for statin muscle pain
Hi , wondering if anyone has experience with taking CoQ10 with a statin as well as blood thinner, specifically Plavix? Prior to having a stent placed in April, I was on a statin only and have read that you should take CoQ10. My cardiologist said take it or don’t take it it doesn’t really matter. It’s

10 weeks in, not feeling great
I am a 57 year old woman, and had an Nstemi 10 weeks ago, and one stent fitted. I am on 2.5 bisoprolol, tricagrelor, 10 of ramipril, 80 statins and also aspirin. My ejection fraction was poor at 45 (which I found a bit upsetting when it transpired I was the lowest in the rehab class) I was on HRT before

Started Interferon
About two weeks ago I put a post on here about my anxiety around changing my treatment plan from Hydroxy to Peg Interferon. I had been sent the vaccine but not given any specific instruction about how to self inject. I appreciated the advice I was given from others who had trodden this path before

REFERRAL TO THE FORUM
"Long time member of PMRUK. What I thought was r/o, new physical evidence has brought me here. The PMR community has been great for the past 2 years, but they believe I may receive better guidance here in the Myositis forum. Honestly, as you read my latest post in the PMR forum I may not belong here

New member saying hello to all 😎
Hi Everyone. So I’m 56m. Just found out I have 3 moderate blockages. CAC score 944. Thought I was pretty healthy because I’ve been walking 10km a day for many years so this has come as a shock. Terrible family history which I’ve ignored for years along with very high cholesterol. Also was a smoker until

Feeling really low at the minute. Sorry this is a long one but just want to write it all down.
After Nstemi in March, I went back to work in April. Was feeling pretty good apart from a burning sensation in the chest area not quite every day. I am on the gold standard meds, apparently and the GP advised that my 3 months was up to and to stop clopidogrel on 14 June. Which I did. He increased my

Can You Refuse Certain Blood Tests
I had a consult with a Livi doctor last week for non thyroid related issue, he wanted me to have a load of bloods done. I've checked online and see what he's ordered. It includes B12, which is pointless as I'm on jabs and have been for years, so B12 always very high. ( the lab always moan and point this

does anyone ever question their drs advice and medication prescribed or procedures?
four years ago I felt like a different person… I trusted drs, believed in medication prescribed and did what I was told without questioning … always playing by the rules and being a good human being to others. that all changed after my own heart issues, I’ve had a lot of time to read research papers

I've never taken statins. First, my GP said to take them to lower my cholesterol. But my cholesterol is naturally very low, I said. Is it, he replied, let's have a look. He scrolled down my file on his computer. Oh yes, he said, so it is. Then he said statins were recommended for diabetics, among other
