after being switched to this statin , was getting muscles aches in my left leg . Stopped taking about 5 weeks ago . Aching stopped . Dip poke pharmacist last week who suggested I take half the dose , so agreed to give it a try . 4 days in and had such an ache in my arm yesterday I was debating whether to go to hospital as thought could be angina , although different arm to when I did have angina , than last night in bed tops of my legs hurting , so I’m done with statins as tried them all now 😱

Have you spoken to your GP about alternatives to statins. That should be your first port of call.
I can relate to your muscle problems, the front of the legs was so painful, essentially noticeable at night in bed. During the day I found myself moving a lot less as any muscle I used hurt, I realised I was taking a lot more pain killers and felt like an old lady and after I’ve tried 3 so far at all different dose’s and have come to the conclusion quality of life out weighed side effects. Within a few days of stopping the statin my pain killers were greatly reduced the energy in my muscles seemed to come back if that makes sense and I wasn’t feeling hunched over when moving… after a few more days I almost felt back to normal movements.
My last drs suggested the injections if still having side effects from tablets but after doing my own research I’ve decided not to go through with them as once I ‘m injected there’s no going back at least a tablet can be stopped. If you delve deeper on injections and side effects they mirror the tablet side effects. I chose to decide this and understand the risks of stroke or heart attack… just wanted you to know I can relate to your post and a snap shot of how they made me feel
