Hi, Just got back from the dentist where the hygenist was pleased with how my gums were considering how sore they had been. My dentist said that my teeth are ok but my gums were still not well, though the teeth are still "hanging in there". Does anyone else have similar problems? And if so, is it

Metallic taste
Hi, I have an awful metallic taste in my mouth and my tongue keeps going white. I have had it swabbed and it's supposedly fine. Any suggestions to get rid of the taste and improve my appetite before I loose any more weight?

THRUSH IN THE THROAT
Hi all, I have had inhalers for "asthma" now confirmed "COPD" . This is the first time I have ever had thrush in my throat. I always drink fluid after using my inhalers and use a spacer. Does anyone else have these problems

June's Blog Topic
Our Topic of the Month for June is coping with Oral Thrush. Oral Thrush is a type of yeast infection in the mouth which has a higher prevalence in people with a suppressed immune system. Since lupus patients tend to take immunosuppressants they are more prone to develop it. We want your tips on how

Problems with chronic kidney disease?
Hi Everyone, It's really great to have found this site, even though I'm across the ocean from most of you. My question is this: Last fall I had a kidney removed due to carcinoma, was very lucky as needed no further treatment. However, they just found out that I have stage 3 chronic kidney disease

What to do after illness???
So I did week 3 run 3 yesterday, it was fine. Started feeling ill towards the end of the day and woke up this morning feeling like death. Looked in my mouth and some nice big white lumps all over the tonsils, so off to the doctors and yes, i have tonsillitis. Fun! I guess that means I should rest etc

I feel like a big lazy mess!!
I'm quite new to this fibro thing. My doctor recently diagnosed me although I feel I have had it for years looking back at my health. I have been on antidepressants for about 20 years and I'm currently on 375mg of venlafaxine. I went to see the psychiatrist (first time ever!) on Thursday and she thinks

Jaw pain and the Dentist - ouch!
Well thats £160 gone on one tooth! Wish I earned that kind of money for half an hours work! Still, its a good job and the mess the old dentist had left has been tidied up and I can now eat on that side! He had left me with no tooth contact! Had a word with the dentist [she is very nice and no pain
