Dental health
I am a major proponent of dentists and dental healthcare. I have dental cleanings every 3 months. I made my husband who really disliked dentists realize what they do for our health. He has undergone several major dental treatments first bullied by me. But now he realizes how critical our dental well-being

Mouth and lip sores
What are folks doing to mitigate these? I have one cold sore (herpes) and the occasional raw spot in my mouth. I haven't had a cold sore since I was a kid so I imagine this is meds related?

Dental treatment following a heart attack
I recently had a heart attack and my dentist now wants me to ask my doctor whether I need antibiotics before having dental treatment (to deal with bleeding). Does anyone know anything about this?

My 34 fiance' has FND, or does he?
Hi there, I am writing this post in hope that I can get some advice/support. My 34 yr old fiance' was diagnosed with FND approximately 2 years ago (and 6 months into our relationship). It has been a rocky road full of doctor and hospital visits since then, and forever changing intermittent symptoms.

Chronic constipation
I'm at my wits end here. I honestly don't know what to do. I keep suffering with chronic constipation and all I'm told is to add more fibre or increase my Cosmocol sachets or add Fybogel. I've tried all this and nothing works. šš¢ I'm at my wits end here and I'm so depressed because of it. I also have

Endocarditis warning card
āHappy new yearā Do BHF still do the endocarditis warning cards at all? I was just curious and do you still have to have antibiotics before any dental treatment? Iāve been reading some very serious stories that have been due to dental treatment and followed by serious complications afterwards. Cheers

Recurring Haemorrhoids
Iāve suffered with ibs for 10 years now and have suffered with haemorrhoids for 3 years on and off now. The haemorrhoids keep recurring even after banding and there is a lot of blood when they flare up. Doctors keep saying I have to go for a colonoscopy before any banding, and after 4 colonoscopies in

Inflamed and sore gums
Has anyone else had an issue with the above? I have Graves and possible hashis. Was underactive when last tested and am on just 25mcg levo. The inflammation however started in June/July with some redness around my front right hand tooth. At this point I felt very well and assume my thyroid levels were

I'm going to give
Trental
(Pentoxifyline) 400mg modified release 2 x day a go. It's a peripheral vasodilator, but there's a slight chance it might be another no go because of my BP.
