Covid Tongue
I've read that B12 can causes mouth sores ect and oral thrush. Many of you have suffered this. So I'm aware of this. My b12 acute B12 symptoms s didn't involve this apart from a couple of ulcers and the corners of my mouth a bit sore on and off. After reading this about a 'covid tongue' I'm now wondering

Prednisone and teeth.
Since I was diagnosed with PMR over 30 months ago, I, like everyone else, was given prednisone... During the past four months I have found a deterioration in my well kept and cared for teeth. Two of my front teeth have broken 🥲, and three teeth have started to wiggle. This is quite a shock to

CRPC special-- causes of Enzalutamide resistance, Treatment comparisons in nMCRPC, and Improved OS with Masitinib and Docetaxel
Howdy FPC folks, So today I thought I would post 3 articles on CRPC-the first deals with Enzalutamide resistance. An evaluation of CTC's and mutations involving Emzalutamide resistance. Knowing your tumor mutations may help you in making treatment decisions regarding Xtandi: https://www.practiceupdate.com

Stelara
I suffer from intermittent, life-threatenimg inflammatory Behcet's and will be starting Stelar within the next month following my secondary COVID vaccination. My rheumatologist and gatroenterologist recommended it because it target 2 sources of inflammation. Anyone else on Stelara?

If the benefits of AZ vaccine highly outweigh the risks, why is the position of GP's not to administer it with sedatives ASAP to my son?
My son has Autism and Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome, he is registered with his GP as Clinically vulnerable. As his main carer I was offered the Coronavirus Vaccine under the conditions of being a carer for a person that is clinically vulnerable. However, as he is so scared of needles and has a known history

Dry mouth and post-inhalation mouth rinse
Hello - advice please. I use Fostair with an inhaler and always rinse then gargle, but with water only. My mouth is always dry particularly at night. Is there a mild mouth rinse that might be better than water, and could it help with the dry mouth?

Diabetic Toothpaste ? Yes, you have read correctly , Colgate , the world leader in Toothpaste, now has launched a Toothpaste for Diabetes.
If you are using any commercial toothpaste , if you read through the list of ingredients , you will find a dozen of Synthetic chemical additives in it- some are preservatives, some are foaming agents, some are cleansing agents, some are dispersing agents, some are for flavour and many such things . But

Dental treatment on Apixaban
Hi everyone, I am in the unfortunate position of needing a dental implant for a broken front tooth/crown. Not only is this extremely expensive but I am also concerned about bleeding as I am on apixaban. Has anyone had a similar experience with invasive dental treatments whilst on blood thinners?

Cystinosis and Fanconi syndrome
Hi, I asked this question a while ago but I thought I would try again since it’s been a while to see if there was anyone else in this community who has these illnesses. Cystinosis and Fanconi syndrome I was diagnosed when I was around 2 years old,. basically the cystine cells attack the vital organs

Started Xtandi Today after Taxotere Finished.
Three weeks ago I had my last of 6 sessions (every 3 weeks) of Taxotere and monthly Lupron shots. Post RP PSA was 63 and now after chemo undetectable. Got back Ct scans and no Mets to chest, abdomen or pelvic area. One enlarged node shrank. Staying on Lupron and starting Xtandi. I’m taking it before

A look at the next generation of Androgen Receptor therapies--AR Degraders/PROTACS
Greetings FPC members, Recently, Cujoe the K9 Wonder asked me if ARV-110 might deserve a post and I confirmed that the next generation of AR drugs--the PROTACs / AR Degraders indeed deserve a serious look. What does one do when those second line AR drugs like abiraterone, TAK-700, enzalutamide, apalutamide
