Trapped in my own private hell
I am so anxious. Been awake since 5am and it's now 2pm and I have had a bad year. Lockdown, lost my voluntary job Huge problem for about 5months with a doctor. I phoned everyone for advice and it did work out because I was 💯 correct. SHE (the doctor) phoned me twice to apologise because I was 💯 correct

Anal fissure in pregnancy
Hi all, I’ve got a chronic anal fissure and it’s so painful. The doctor has prescribed me rectogesic ointment but I’m so anxious to take it as I’m 5 weeks pregnancy, and very precious IVF pregnancy. Has anyone else been in this situation or have any wise words. I’m doing sitz baths, talking fybogel

Stopping or not stopping Apixaban for dental treatment
I asked my GP surgery about Apixaban and dental work but they said ask the dentist. The dentist says ask then GP. Anyone else had this runaround and if so, what was the outcome?

Can you take penicillin while on Imbruvica
I have been on imbruvia for 2 weeks, I had a crown on my back tooth replaced a few days ago, the dentist gave me a shot in my mouth to deaden my gums while doing some filing. My gums and that tooth has been aching a few days now it’s a Saturday so I can’t get a hold of any Dr. I know it’s an infection

Down to 10mg Pred instantly!
Hello again, Just seen a rheumatologist for the first time, having been diagnosed with PMR in early January this year. Went from 15mg pred to 12.5mg by March. She has put me down instantly to 10mg, which she says I should be on after six months, then reduce by 1mg every six weeks. This I think, is

Oral Thrush
I'm on Mycophenolate Mofetil 2g daily, steroids, warfarin and lots of other meds. Just recently had 3 bouts of oral thrush. Nystatin clears it up but it keeps coming back. Does anyone have a similar experience and what did you do about it? (I can't take the pills for it as they interact with too many

Hey all, Hope you are doing well - and a big thank you to those who took time to reply to my first post. I’ve been having B12 injections every 2 weeks I’m now on my fourth, I’ve found a real improvement in most of my symptoms but still have burning feet and a really sore tongue and mouth, will this eventually improve?

What dosage of calcium supplement is recommended when on prednisolone?
I'm on 7.5mg of prednisolone. At my rheumatologists appointment today I advised him that I wouldn't be taking up his recommendation of Alendronic Acid despite having a very small amount of osteoporosis in my lower lumber region. I advised him that I was taking Caltrate which has 600mg calcium/200 IU

Not doing enough
I am scared every day. My medication helps but I take it at night. Before lockdown I had a voluntary job which I loved but the place isn't there now. 2 days a week I helped my elderly friend and he died in 2020. I offered to cook Christmas dinner for his best friend and another person but had to cancel

Chronic Constipation
I have been on PD since Jan 2016. Recently, my issues with constipation have gotten to a very frustrating level. I have tried: Prunes; more fruits/veggies; OTC softeners; laxatives; yogurt; probiotics; exercise.....and it is to a chronic stage. If I take prescription Linzess or Trulance provided

Fostair and oral thrush
I’ve been on fostair for around a year now and I can never fully get rid of oral thrush :( I rinse my mouth thoroughly after taking it in the mornings/evenings but that doesn’t seem to help AT ALL. Is there anything else I can do to prevent it? Also what is the best treatment?!

Claimed improvement in symptoms following dental treatment.
As someone who is terrified of the dentist (with consequent rare attendance) I found this interesting. Particularly, as I now have to visit one very soon. In my experience, the Japanese are not prone to hyperbole/exaggeration... also you might prefer to skip the 'treatment' part of the video clip 😬
