i do not consider PTSD a mental illness. I consider it a type of psychic scalding like a sunburn to skin.....too long exposure to toxic rays....................why wouldnt a person have a PTSD is very commoon secondlary to large amounts of stressful toxic environements....like Psychic radioactivity.

Any connection with under active thyroid and pulmonary embolism?
Hi all, has anyone come across any connection with under active thyroid and pulmonary embolism? Drs don't seem to know the cause of the latter, so thought I would put the question on here to you fine people, as you have always been my support for my parter to help her get diagnosed initially and then

Scientists learn what fuels the 'natural killers' of the immune system
Despite a name straight from a Tarantino movie, natural killer (NK) cells are your allies when it comes to fighting infections and cancer. If T cells are like a team of specialist doctors in an emergency room, NK cells are the paramedics: They arrive first on the scene and perform damage control until

Catheter Ablation in Australia and availability under public or private system only - and out of pocket costs?
I am a fit/active 56 yo male in Canberra Australia with persistent AFIB but succesfully on 200mg amiodarone daily that has me in NSR all the time no matter what I do or eat - I have no side effects being on amiodarone at all - but this is dangerous medication so long term - the meds are not a solution

Praise report
I have been seeing a hematologist for a few months now. Diagnosed with ET JAK+. My platelets started out at 800. Was started on a baby aspirin a day. I also have high blood pressure and a few other things going on. I was then started on Hydrea 500 mgs each day. I go every 2 weeks for labs. Each time

Has my DVT Gone ?
I fell for a DVT while doing cycling without paying proper attention to training, hydration and a proper cool down. After taking rivaroxaban for 9 months I was told to stop. My question is has the clot gone or is what I am left with just the collateral damage. My calf doesn’t lock up any more and I can

Researchers create cellular blueprint of healthy lungs.
The primary function of the lung is to facilitate transfer of oxygen to the blood stream. Crucial to this lifegiving task are endothelial cells, which line blood vessels permeating the lung and through which gas exchange occurs. Malfunction of these cells is implicated in a range of different diseases

Wanting to thank everyone for their input, kindness and responses.
Hi Everyone Thank you all for answering my questions and sharing such great information. This is frightening being diagnosed with something you have never heard of and feeling the support and encouragement has helped a great deal. Having PV ,a Jax 2 positive and being asymptomatic is still hard to accept

13 YO with nocturnal enuresis
My 13 year old son has nocturnal enuresis. He's never had a dry night in his life despite using various medications and alarms. A couple months ago he started sleeping through solid bowel movements after he had some sort of virus. His mental health and friendships are affected because he is embarrassed

My Deal with God
So every night when I go to bed I say to God ‘God, if you are not going to let me get well then please just take me’..... Anyone else ever feel like you will just never beat the anxiety, depression, ocd, ptsd or whatever you are dealing with?

How Long Does It Take For ‘Moderately Enlarged Left Atrium’ To Revert Back To Size?
Hi there, An echocardiogram showed I have a moderately enlarged left atrium that is causing my 24*7 AF. I am on amiodorone 200mg daily and no longer in AF; I feel great! Ive made lifestyle adjustments - 90% less alcohol, no endurance exercise, decaf coffee only and more sensible food choices. I will

Apixaban side effects.
I have a new cardiologists. Hurray! He has taken me off xerolto, because of many violent nosebleeds. He says apixaban hopefully will reduce or eliminate these bleeds. My question is has anyone had any disturbing side effects from apixaban? I am starting on it today. Other than nosebleeds life is grand

Alone and in a very negative place
How do you handle knowing you’re alone? Knowing there’s no one looking out for you? No one to care. Just no one. I lost my friends and sister to caregiving, a move, lost job and now covid. Just sitting here realizing that my impact on society is negligible at best. Who would miss me? The anxiety, depression

I have Fibromyalgia and FND and recently fell injuring my back and pelvis more. Im already maxed out on Longtec 120mg daily and Duloxatine. It's become apparent that the current treatment isn't working for me and just offers a slight energy burst. I'm getting MRI tomorrow. Is there a particular pain
