Any connection with under active thyroid and pulmonary embolism?

Hi all, has anyone come across any connection with under active thyroid and pulmonary embolism? Drs don't seem to know the cause of the latter, so thought I would put the question on here to you fine people, as you have always been my support for my parter to help her get diagnosed initially and then afterwards. Any info or pointers greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance, Helen

My mum was hypo but was the sort who hated "medication", so she stopped her levo. She had 3 PE's over the years.

I would suggest the link is partially because being under-medicated causes joints to feel stiff, and saps your energy, and so you'll spend too much time sitting.

If you've had a Covid-19 vaccine recently they are causing PEs and clots in some people.

I don't think it's pulmonary embolism they're linked to, it's a different type of clot. The virus itself is linked to pulmonary embolism though.
