Extreme Dizziness and shaking.
Got up from the settee last night and had a really bad dizzy spell which lasted for an hour and came in waves of shaking and extreme panic and unable to walk for fear of falling down. Settled down and feel normal this morning. Phoned for ambulance then cancelled when I felt better. Tested positive for

Help for victims of ketamine given as a post-op drug..?
Ketamine is routinely given as a drug to aid people in recovery after surgical operations. Most people, it seems, suffer no bad effects. Others, my wife among them, suffer terrible hallucinations and debilitating after-effects. She recently had to have two major emergency surgical op's and was given

Brother due a tracheostomy
Hi. So update is that my brother is due a tracheostomy but will have to be last in theatre as he is in a covid ward. Apparently one of the nurses slightly reduced his sedation and he was following her around the room with his eyes. She then put his partner on the phone and she was talking to him and

Questionable ingredients in spiriva respimat?
My doctor has let me try both the handihaler and the respimat for a month each and asked me to decide which works better for me. I feel like the respimat works better (maybe because its a soft mist?), but I am concerned about a couple of the non-medicinal ingredients. Has anyone heard whether the benzalkonium

Taking an anticoagulant (Apixaban) for the first time.
When I was first diagnosed with PAF three and a half years ago I was prescribed Dabigatran which , after two days, produced a subconjunctival haemorrhage. This was not serious (although it took a month to heal) but a GP let slip that if it had been a retinal haemorrhage it would have been more serious

Got the call on Friday
Hi all, I found this community last night and am so glad I did. I’ve been worrying all weekend having had a call from the GP nurse on Friday to tell me that I had low B12 and need to come in on Monday as a matter of urgency for injections. Although it took me having to pay for my bloods to be done privately

Skin biopsy bleeding
Hi all, I started treatment in April (Ibrutinib) and it’s doing what it should do. I had a skin biopsy on my leg on Tuesday with 4 stitches. The wound is still bleeding today 4 days later!! Just a slow bleed but having to change dressings a few times a day! Does anybody have any experience of similar

Pradaxa...stop taking? Continue?
Hi all. I am 4 yrs post ablation. Other than a few instances of rapid hb lasting 45 mins or less, I've been great! My physician has suggested I no longer need blood thinners (pradaxa). I have no side effects from pradaxa, no bleeding issues even during home renovation injuries. I worry about stroke

Ablation Questions again...re Catheter Insertion
Hi, the replies to my last post about my upcoming ablation were very useful thank you I'm probably over thinking things again, but due to have a 1st ablation in Feb , I can't seem to stop over analysing things, my nature is that I like to know every detail inside out and my latest concern is this.

High risk sports and anti-coagulants
My cardiologist has recommended that I go onto anti-coagulants. At age 66, this was not a surprise. Although my AF episodes are mild and infrequent by many sufferers' standards, I'm sure he is right, but...! My reluctance to date is because I indulge myself in what many would regard as 'high risk' activities

Inhibition of Epstein-Barr virus reactivation in nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells by dietary sulforaphane 2013
EBV is a very common latent virus (up to 95% prevalence) and has been linked to autoimmune diseases and inflammation. PD may be an autoimmune disease. Seeing what things tamper down EBV. Steatorrhea / yellow stool with endometriosis?
Hello, ladies! Has anyone else experienced steatorrhea as a result of endometriosis? In other words, pale even yellow fatty stool that is hard to flush. Is this a symptom of bowel endometriosis? Thank you.

Can't run - legs feel like concrete
I used to be a fairly hardcore runner. I averaged about 45 miles/week, more when marathon training. I was into racing. I've run 15 full marathons and countless 5ks, 10ks, etc. It was a huge part of my life. While on Lupron I've found that running is difficult. My legs feel extremely heavy. It's not

What Medication is recommended post Cardio version to keep the heart in NSR.
Just had my CV last Thursday and all seemed to go ok, just wondered what medication I should be on to keep me in NSR. I'm still on Bisoprolol 5mg and Rivaroxaban. I used to take as PIP Flecainide but as I'm 59 and had one reaction to this drug my cardiologist says PIP is now not for me

Numb Feet
Well I have succeeded in stopping both the Ropinerole slow release and the Sinemet Plus ! I am now on 600mg of Pregabalin and I don’t think it’s helping much at all and just a quick note thanks to reading some of the posts here I also stopped the Fluoxetine and it had a dramatic impact. My RLS improved
