To Everyone:
This is a thank you to all who informed and encouraged me concerning the bone marrow aspiration I had this morning. I wasn't nervous at all. The procedure went extremely well. It took about ten minutexperiencinges, and there was no pain -- none. I won't find out the results for ten days. And, for

Stopping Rivaroxaban after ablation
Hi all. Just spoke to the Arrythmia nurse to clarify when I should stop taking the rivaroxaban post ablation. She told me 4 weeks after was fine even though their initial referral letter to my GP said 6 weeks. She said she spoke to the Consultant who assisted at the procedure and he’s happy with 4 weeks

President Biden - Atrial Fibrillation
I saw this and thought some people could be interested that even a President functions with health challenges. Biden is the oldest first-term president in US history, and the last comprehensive update on Biden's medical history came nearly two years ago when his presidential campaign released a three-page

Skelton brittleness from Lupron
I have been on Lupron for about 16 months. About 7 weeks ago I had a fall on to a hard floor. I landed on my hand. In doing so I twisted my body but didn’t land on body but broke my fall with my hand. I had a X-ray which showed I had crushed my vertebrae. My GP put me on pain killers. We have had a discussion

Interesting appointment today.
I had an interesting appointment today with my local hematologist. I'll start by saying I'm ET Calr 1. I see a specialist in Denver at UCHealth Anschutz. He is a great Dr and very knowledgeable. I also see a local hematologist/oncologist from Seattle who just moved to my local rural area who also has

Black Eye while on Coumadin?
I am wondering if anyone has ever had a black eye on coumadin. I have one right now and have been told that the blood thinner will make full healing fairly slow. Meanwhile I have bruisy patches all over my face which came on a day or two after the fall that caused the event. I have no pain, no fever

Sanjay Gupta and anticoagulants
I just watched Sanjay Gupta's YouTube video on anticoagulants. He said it is not the Afib but the company it keeps that is responsible for a stroke therefore anticoagulation is only advised if you have other factors i.e high blood pressure, diabetes, heart failure etc. If that is the case why are all

Obstructed defecation syndrome
I have suffered from IBS all my life (i`m in my 60s), mainly with occasional bouts of diarhoea and pain, but about 5 years ago the symptoms changed. I needed to go to the loo at least 5 times every day but didn`t have diarhoea and struggled to pass motions even when they were soft, and always felt

Make Sure You Understand Your Full Diagnosis
In February of 2021 I had my mental health intervention. I was diagnosed with GAD, Depression Type 1 with Psychotic Features, and PTSD. As most of you know I've been trying to treat the symptoms for my anger issues, my PTSD, and my depression. Well what did I not treat? The psychosis. This is why I'm

Toilet training issues Vs constipation
Seriously at my wits end. We're waiting for a consultation with bladder and bowels service, but my four year old son's soiling is still happening multiple times a day and has been ever since we started toilet training over 18 months ago. Nothing works. He's on movicol twice a day, toilet routine etc

Covid-19 positive
I received my third Pfizer vaccination shot on 8-16-21. I confirmed my antibodies in September with the Labcorp test, 164090. My score was 388. Not the highest but antibodies were present . I got sick 11-1-21, tested positive 11-2. I received an antibody infusion on 11-3. I started to feel better about

INR Self testing for triple + patients
Hi All, I am triple + aps, well controlled on warfarin and HCQ. INR pretty stable between 2-3. My only past symptom was a sizeable dvt two years ago which prompted the diagnosis. I have been testing 2x month through venous puncture but lately that is pretty painful. I am considering starting self testing

New to this and very anxious!
I am increasingly anxious about whether or not I have IBS (or something like IBD?). I have been struggling to register with a GP due to recently moving house and apparently they have too much work to get around to registering new patients, meaning I can only access healthcare via the emergency care routes

Re: Vaccine efficacy
Hello, I have no intention of this post becoming a debate. Yesterday I saw a post regarding vaccine hesitancy and I had some information I wanted to share however the comments had been turned off. There is someone at my work who received an organ transplant and was advised not to get the vaccine as it

It's look like proteolytic enzymes are beneficial to muscle injury.
In some muscle injuries proteolytic enzymes are some beneficial in healing them. Does it apply to muscles micro injuries related to B12 deficiency. As muscles are not completely functional due to nerve damage may some micro injuries develope and hinder normal movement. So if we take some proteolytic

Spoke to my mum again at length about my road accident and my injuries. She told me I were extremely lucky to survive as I needed urgent surgery after I'd been hit and I was unconscious throughout the ordeal they kept me in intensive care to monitor the bleed on my head..I knew none of this until today
