Clonal hematopoiesis and cardiovascular diseases: role of JAK2V617F
“Reports have demonstrated that the minuscule JAK2V617F clones with low VAF have a clinically biological impact on the cardiovascular system. In patients with vascular diseases with mean JAK2V617F of 0.45% ranging from 0.06% to 1.73%, mRNA expressions of IL-1β in JAK2V617F-expressing peripheral leukocytes

colonoscopy fear.
Can anyone tell me why you can’t have a general anaesthetic to have a colonoscopy? I have asked the Doctor this and he said well you can be sedated. But this is not what I want. He said they need you slightly awake to listen to their instructions to move your leg etc. I think this is rubbish.America

Coping with a Vestibular Disorder

I was just reading an article about MTR. Mechanical Thromboectic Retrieval which is available at a few hospitals in UK and although under development is showing great results in recovery from serious thrombotic strokes. What it did say is that sucess falls by 5.7% PER HOUR delay . (The article is in

Hot spot on foot ??
hi folks. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Little question-has anyone experienced, what I can only describe as a hot spot on top of my right foot. Not there all the time, regularly feel flash of heat in same area, no redness, just like someone put hot pad on it. Quite annoying to be honest

sensitive to noises
I have PTSD so and I’m not sure if this has anything to do with it but there are certain times when I haven’t slept a lot or I’m not feeling good, I tend to get very jumpy and sensitive to loud sounds. It seems the slightest loud sound makes me jump out of my own skin. At times like this I wear my ear

How long till the dripping tap causes the bucket to overflow?
I’ve been going pretty well on my three weekly TCZ injections and have managed to get down to 0.5mgs pred after a couple of hiccups … it’s taken over 2 years to get here. I remained on 0.75mgs for 3 weeks, timed with TCZ dose, but now I’m really nervous about the next drop. I feel fine, should I drop

My CHA2Ds2-VASC score is 0, but I think I'd prefer to take an anticoagulant (probably Apixaban). I'm meeting with my cardiologist at the end of the month, and plan on asking him about starting anticoagulant medication.I've had 4 short episodes of AF this year (the longest was about 2 minutes), but I
