Hot spot on foot ??

hi folks.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Little question-has anyone experienced, what I can only describe as a hot spot on top of my right foot.

Not there all the time, regularly feel flash of heat in same area, no redness, just like someone put hot pad on it. Quite annoying to be honest.

PV related or just plain weird?

I've had precisely that. I liked it some times since I could warm up the other foot with it. Usually while in bed, but more rare since I've been on Besremi.

thanks EPguy. Good to know I am not imagining it.

That sounds like a possible PV microvascular symptom. Suggest you run this by your MPN care team.

Not just a hot spot. More of a sensation of burning over half the top of the left foot. Combined with feeling like someone hit the top of the foot (including toes) with a hammer! Doesn’t stop me sleeping, thank goodness. Nerve conduction study did not apparently show damage. Two months on allopurinol for suspected gout only served to make matters worse. Getting shoes on is a painful process. Very strange. Specialists seem to be mystified. I have ET JAK2.

I think the hot foot and the pain foot may be different or at least ranges of the condition. What I and apparently LittleLuna have is not painful, rather pure heat. I know it was hot since it could heat up the other foot. But as Hunter says, any of these if they persist are worth discussing with Dr. I failed to do so but on IFN it seems to have stopped.

Yes, thank you. Obviously, with reviews now 3 months apart, pain levels alter and need reporting. Good point.
