Cannot be bothered syndrome!
Hi, Having reduced my pred dose from 20mg, i have been on 7mg for 3 weeks. I had some initial tiredness and sugar craving. That seemed to improve but have been having some low mood and cannot be bothered syndrome and get around to it tomorrow. Is this a common symptom and does it pass? Thanks I

Apixaban and the risk of bleeding
"Covid blood-thinner drug treatment dangerous and does not work". This scary headline in the Guardian today turns out to be specifically about Apixaban being used in relation to hospitalized patients recovering from covid. The article begins: “A blood-thinning drug given as a potential life-saver

Warfarin and Vit K Article
Vitamin k and warfarin A couple of days ago, someone posted a website for health discoveries , vitamin K2 and warfarin. Does anyone remember that post, or the person who posted it. I believe some of the content was about a supplement called Cardio For Life, and he was asking anyone had tried the product

I’m so heartbroken to read so many of us struggling, but in a way feel rest assured I’m not the only one. Hats off to you ladies! I was prescribed Ryeqo to stop my periods as I have large fibroids and horrendous bleeding each time I have my period After 2 weeks of taking Ryeqo, I had to go to A&E

Indican : elevated urinary indican levels ; proteolytic enzymes potentially reduce indican levels
Elevated urinary indican levels are associated with PD. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25707302/ Urinary indican is a indicator of decreased protein digestion. Could digestive enzymes (protease) help reduce indican? indican lab tests available https://www.ultalabtests.com/test/indican-urine

Saw the Cardiologist today!
Regulars will know that I have been having investigations for possible AFIB since an accident at home in June. So today I finally got to see Cardiologist. Such a lovely lady doctor. She ordered an Echocardigram and blood pressure tests and then we sat and talked. She read my notes and was the first

So many obstacles with PSP
Hi friends it's been heartbreaking. Just when you think you have found a solution there comes another obstacle on that path. Because my mum has lost so much weight I noticed that skin on her spine looked abnormal and discoloured. I got worried and called the district nurse she wouldn't come out until

Curcumin
Hello, I have read on this forum that taking curcumin is excellent for inflammation. Does anyone know if taking curcumin thins the blood or increased your risk of a bleed? I am on warfarin and monitor my blood and dosage weekly. I looked up contra indications to curcumin, which did say taking warfarin

Finally makes sense
I started Firmagon about a year ago with great results for 5 months and then added Xtandi....Side effects from both were minimal due to weight training in gym 3x a week and aerobic running off days. I began researching the relatively newly FDA approved Orgovyx and it made sense to me to ask my MO to

Imposter syndrome
Please excuse me, feel a bit embarrassed having to bring this up, but was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar to myself. I fell 30 feet 40 years ago, suffered a period of unconsciousness, amnesia both pre and post fall, couple of months hospital in-patient admission, speech and physiotherapies

Omega 3 supplements- increased risk of cardiovascular disease?
I recently read on a Grassroots Health newsletter that recent research has shown that B vitamins don’t work well without omega 3. (I can’t be more specific than ‘don’t work well ‘and I’m not sure there was a reference - but I’ll find a screenshot. I take a B complex So I started supplementing with omega

Interaction Between Tamiflu and Lupron
Recently, I experienced somewhat serious side effects of interaction between Tamiflu and Lupron. I had a 3 month Lupron shot on October 17. Then I had a flu shot on October 24. And on October 26 I tested positive for flu. I was prescribed with Tamiflu by the doctor at the Urgent Care I visited. I completed

update after fourth ablation
Appointment with EP yesterday gave the thumbs up to cut out the flecainide. Not needed as have not had any blips since a quick reset (cardioversion) in April after the fourth ablation in March. Besides, the flecainide is causing wide qrs so it’s becoming more problematic than helping. Anyone had problems

Hi, I posted on here over a year ago when I was trying to free myself from the emotional ties of an abusive partner with a brain injury. We are not a couple anymore and haven’t been for about a year or more. He was short tempered with my older children and I, physically abusive and controlling. He now
