What to do.
Since I found out my 2nd kidney transplant is about half damaged from the anti-rejection drug I was taking, going back on dialysis & being rejected for a 3rd kidney transplant I have lost all ambition. I don't have a car, I can't walk long distances so my sister pushes me in a wheelchair & this past

Nephrotic Syndrome
I’ve been diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome, does it always require dialysis even if I am still urinating and experiencing No swelling or fluid retention?

Hey, Just a quick question, I had a failed kidney transplant a few weeks ago from my dad, the kidney didn't even last a day so now I'm back on dialysis. I had three major surgeries and all though physically fine now, my mind is trashed. I have to go on the waiting list now and I'm just wondering how

Dialysis 😭
Hi, I am taylor and I'm 24! I'm joining to try and find solutions to my high fluid levels. I have been on dialysis for four years, after my kidney from my dad failed after four years of success. My antibodies are so high so I'm basically left with only getting a kidney from a living donor.

High BP Problems
Has anyone had the problem of their BP shooting up into the 200's while on the machine? It is usual for people's BP to drop while on dialysis but my son's shoots up and no one seems to know why or how to remedy it.

How Might THE CHRONIC CARE ACT Affect People on Home Dialysis?
Received this a short time ago and thought I'd pass along the information for those on Home Dialysis or those thinking about Home Dialysis. I also pasted the questions at the end of the article for discussion. How Might The CHRONIC Care Act Affect People On Home Dialysis? This blog post was made by

Heamo newby. Dizzy, headache, nausea and vomitting. Help?
Hi. I'm Helen. I'm 43, diabetic and have just started HD 5 sessions ago. I am still passing urine so my consultant has prescribed two three hour sessions per week. I currently have a line but will be getting a fistula quite soon. The thing is the dialysis is making me feel dreadful. I leave the unit

Update and Advice on delirium please
Hi everyone. I wrote a post about a month ago about my close friend who was in an induced coma with chronic pnuemonia and sepsis. I thought I would update you and also ask some more advice if that's ok. At 3weeks he had his breathing tube taken out of his mouth and had a tracheostomy fitted. He was then

This is me !!
I am 76, went through 5 different cancers, lost my kidney in 2014. I am feeling great now and so much more energy then the last 10 years. I have finally learned that having a healthy weight does so much more for you. My BP is normal, no diabetes, Afib under control. Still under doctors care for bladder

Blessed to be a living donor!
Hi! I’m new here..donated a kidney to my dear friend Monica in 2016 at Froedtert Hospital in the Milwaukee area. We are of different races and blood types (I’m A, she’s O), yet we’re able to do a direct donation. We are both doing great, and Monica truly looks younger and better than I’ve seen her in

Ok, here I go again !! Worrying is not going to change a thing. Worrying will not make it go away. Learn to accept the challenge of making YOU be a healthy YOU. Stage 3 is really so much better then stage 4 or 5. Be a healthy weight, control you blood pressure, be sure your sugar level is under control
