I’ve been diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome, does it always require dialysis even if I am still urinating and experiencing No swelling or fluid retention?

Hi mickey, it all depends on your lab reports and how you feel. Do you see a nephrologist? If not, find one. I had been told I had CKD 30 years ago and I just watched my health by eating right and staying active . It wasnt until a year ago I started PD dialysis. And I wad put on transplant list almost 3 years ago. Find out what your GFR is, usually people start dislysis when it reaches 12 or 10.

It depends on the function... There is a lot of patients that make urine and on dialysis cause it's not clearing the toxins/bacteria it suppose to... But ur doctor should make that call... It's usually around 12% function though
