Hello, I am a patient who has done parotoneal Dialysis and doing Hemodialysis currently this coming may will be 7 years of life saving treatment. I am active but tent to not make plans and rest on treatment days.

I have tried both peritoneal dialysis I had it for eight months but got a hernia and then started him on a 1990. Three years ago I had to start it again because my transplant stop working, I got pneumonia from being with the kids. For now I'm hardly working as a substitute teacher . I'm afraid to work because I'll catch their germs. Lately I've been having to see the ear doctor because I have a partial hearing loss due to the breathing tube they put in my throat I think in May when I have surgery to put the fistula in. Also I think the doctor hit a nerve and so my two right fingers in my right hand are numb .what a pain I shouldn't complain because I think other people have it worse but it doesn't make it easier. God bless you. I'm hoping to get on the list for USC and or st vincents in Los Angeles where I had my last transplant in 91 that lasted 23 years. I was really lucky lucky. Take care Arleen Dodson

The numbness takes months to go away but it will keep exercises up light weight or squishy ball.
