Missing member.
I’m getting really concerned as I don’t seem to have seen Lilian226 posting for a while now. We used to p/m but it’s now two months since I heard from her. She had recently been diagnosed with another serious health condition requiring Dialysis. I really hope someone can put my mind at rest.

PD Catheter
Hi, EGFR now dropped to 11, and PD catheter being fitted next week, followed by a Fistula soon after. Any advice on coping with Peritoneal Dialysis would be appreciated. Interested in whether I may feel 'healthier', or whether there is no real change.

Seen a great Nephrologist today
33 y/o, Female. I’d like to share my experience and the information I received from my Nephrologist today and apparently he’s one of the best in L.A. I’m hoping that you might find this useful. eGFR is 52 from 59 last March. I was asked to do a renal scan flow and it showed that my REAL GFR is at 35

GFR and Potassium
My latest gfr's over one month dropped from 13% to 11% to 9%, I am working hard to find a living donor. I was told that if I have to go on dialysis before receiving a kidney it could cause complications with the donation or cause the kidney to last less longer, does anyone have experience with this

Rapid decline in gfr
The last month has been challenging. At the start my gfr was 56 one week later 41 now 35. All my other numbers in the normal range. Had my ultrasound and it show no blockages or anything abnormal. Good report. BP is low due to medications. No symptoms other than fatigue. Eating a good diet, losing

Had PKD and renal cell carcinoma. Started hemodialysis Jan 2018. Both kidneys removed Apil2018. Lots of fatigue on dialysis days. Feel better on off days. Does it ever feel better?

Itching
I recently had a renal cancer removed from my right kidney. The left kidney is small and doesn't work too well. I thought that there was enough kidney remaining to work normally, but recently I have been itching all over my body. My dermatologist told me that it may be because what's left of my both

Some advice please
Hello, I'm looking for some advice. 3 weeks ago, my dad of 66 went into hospital for an elective lobectomy. He had only one day's notice for the procedure following a few weeks worth of preliminary tests. Following the surgery, he was moved to HDU and then to the ward and was set to come home. The

I am at stage 4 GFR 23, Type 1 diabetic for 43 years. I had one nephrologist and was not happy with my care. I dropped him and was referred to my current doctor two years ago. My ckd was caused by immunosuppressive drugs when i had a pancreas transplant. I was told by many doctors that nothing could

Peritoneal Dialysis
My husband and I are training to do PD. He had the permanent catheter implanted and it is working fine. Someone recommended that he should get a fistula in his arm as a backup. Is that usually done?

THE ONE THING....If you could give up one piece of advice on CKD, Dialysis, and Transplant--what would it be?
Okay--I am going to be the first suggestion here. My one and most important tip would be to WRITE IT DOWN. Keeping an accurate log of doctor appointments, questions for your care team, and what responses they give you is a must. Not only will it give you good order in your treatment/care, this gives
