Knee advice needed
I’m now five months post
total
knee
replacement
and am still having problems which I have no idea are normal or not. My knee is still numb on the outer aspect and sitting even for short periods means the knee is incredibly stiff and it’s difficult to stand momentarily.

Total Knee Replacement Finally
I am finally having my right TKR surgery on 5th February, all being well. In short when I was 23 I was ‘immortal and bullet proof’ or so I thought. After landing from a 6/8ft jump straight legged onto concrete, I very quickly learned in complete agony, that I was not. Two lots of keyhole surgery and

Help with "sick day rules"
I delivered Mark to hospital on Sunday for a planned
Total

which took place on Monday morning. He's doing very well, no pain (typical of him lol) and he was discharged yesterday morning (Thursday).

HELP, PLEASE??!!
I just had a
total
knee
replacement
. For 3 years now buprenorphine has helped, but today I took hydromorphone for pain that my surgeon prescribed, Nexium that my family doctor recommended to take to keep the aspirin I have to take postop to keep from getting ulcers, and cyclobenzaprine.

This might be found useful?
I was on here quite a bit after a
total
knee
replacement
two years ago. Nothing much seemed to help that wasn't either an opoid or some other harsh drug.

I was shocked to be told I need a
total
knee
replacement
- it’s OA I have in my knee and it’s bone on bone hence the pain. If I’d come to him even a year ago - I might have been able to lose weigh etc and buy more time - but too late now.

Flare after TKR update
Just an update - I have taken ibuprofen regularly but no improvement and today I feel incredibly fatigued. I have therefore increased from 6.5mg to 10mg and will stay at this level for at least a week provided it solves the problem. Strangely it seems that everything but the knee hurts! Recovery

Higgyandpiggy
Hi, I have had a TKR to both in the last 2 years. A friend lent me a cuff called a Cryocuff which compresses and cools the knee. It really helped. They are expensive to buy but they canbe hired. I was given crutches with special handles, designed for arthritic hands and they helped too. Everything

Sciatic type pain following knee replacement
Hello all, I had a
total
knee
replacement
3 weeks ago and since then I have had a constant pain emanating from my lower spine and across my buttock. It’s worse when lying down. Has anyone else had this after TKR? I’m hoping it’s just upset muscles rather than true sciatica.

Ouch that hurt 🤕
Involved in RTC on Friday, luckily just Bruised Ribs and abdomen.I have spondylitis, damaged discs lumber to sacral, and am awaiting a new hip, which is playing havoc with my TKR, so the added pain really wasn't needed. Hopefully this app will help me get motivated.
