Northern Ireland waiting list for hysterectomy.
After waiting 3 years for an appointment with a consultant, I finally got put on the waiting list for a
total
hysterectomy
. I am suffering so much and honestly cant wait for the op to finally get some relief.

What questions did you wish you’d asked before hysterectomy?
I’d been offered Zoladex or a hysterectomy, but i pushed for an MRI before making any decisions (the surgeon put me on the waiting list for
total
hysterectomy
anyway knowing the long delays…). I’ve got the review in a few weeks. First time I’ve spoken to him since the first post op check.

Appointment at Endo Clinic - should I attend
So I had a
total
hysterectomy
back in March, along with bowel shave, bilateral ureterolysis, excision on both USL and rectovaginal areas. I had adenomyosis also.In March 2022 I had a bilateral Salpingo Oophrectomy (spelling probably incorrect).

How has complete hysterectomy with ovaries removed also (or natural menopause) affected your symptoms?
Thank you very much, ladies. I hope everyone is having a pain free day

CA-125 numbers rising
I went through 6 rounds of Chemo & had a
total
hysterectomy
in September 2021. Since December of 2021 I have been in remission, & since January of 2022 I've been on Avastin treatment. But since about January of 2023 my Cancer Antigen have been rising in 2 number increments.

HRT / zolodex / hormone treatment help
Hi all. I posted recently about my concerns regarding zolodex etc. I think my only next steps is a complete hysterectomy due to my issues. HOWEVER. That being said, everyone seems to manage better withHRT and I'm looking to speak with people who have never been able to tolerate any form of hormone treatment

Mucinous Ovarian Tumour
I recently had a
total
hysterectomy
following a scan showing an ovarian cyst. The report showed stage 1a mucinous ovarian tumour on my left ovary. I had subsequently had blood tests - CA125, CA19-9, liver, kidneys and full blood count, all of which were normal.

endometriosis and HRT
I’ve had a
total
hysterectomy
and was prescribed estrogel to help with menopause. Felt great until I was then put on progesterone tablets to stop endo growing again elsewhere. The progesterone has hit me hard and obviously doesn’t suit me but I’ve been told to basically just put up with it.

Hi all, I posted on here little while ago about my mum having
total
abdo
hysterectomy
for ovarian cancer. We are now 3 weeks on from surgery. a 10cm cyst was removed which at the time, they assumed it was cancer. We went to her results and biopsy results yesterday.

so many questions
She had her surgery today for
total
abdominal
hysterectomy
and they removed a tumour the size of a melon. The cancer nurse specialist has already been round and confirmed it is cancerous but they are sending it off for grading? What is grading? They have left her womb in but we aren’t sure why.

Hysterectomy, HRT and possible flare up
I've had 2 laproscopys, 1 laperotomy and finally a
total
hysterectomy
when I was 40. My ovaries were completely stuck to everything else around them, major pain, also had endo on my bowel, pretty much everywhere lol.

Hello I was just wondering if anyone had any advice about the following... Has anyone noticed a change in brain fog and memory issues after having a hysterectomy? Any help much appreciated, thank you.
