I have a history of H pylori and have Hashimoto’s
Thyroiditis
. My doctor has ordered the intrinsic factor test to rule out PA. Is this enough testing or should I also have the homocysteine and MMA tests too? Thank you! Rose

New here and confused
Current thinking is that my muscle wasting is due to
Thyroiditis
. Ultrasound has showed that thyroid is inflamed. Had two biopsies done, one from inflamed tissue and another from a cyst. I don’t know my most recent thyroid blood test results, just these from June.

Confused!
He has now suggested we wait 4 weeks and try again as it could be silent
thyroiditis
. What else could be causing this? Is it potentially a pituitary gland problem? Would I know about it if the had a non-thyroidal illness? Any help would be warmly welcomed.

New blood results need help to understand
The positive thyroid antibody result, increases the possibility of your having or ultimately developing autoimmune thyroid disease, such as Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
or Grave's disease.

Postpartum Thyroiditis
My thyroid levels were high and postpartum
thyroiditis
was suspected as the cause. Over the space of just a few weeks these dropped rapidly, and I’m now hypo (so they definitely think postpartum
thyroiditis
than Graves‘ disease like my sister).

The positive thyroid antibody result, however, increases the possibility of your having or ultimately developing autoimmune thyroid disease, such as Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
or Grave's disease." I am taking no medication.
