HU and trigger finger
I had this before with post partum
thyroiditis
15 years ago. I had my thyroid checked and so far nothing. Could it be HU related? No other real side effects to report. Thanks in advance!

Familial dysalbuminemic hyperthyroxinemia confounding management of coexistent autoimmune thyroid disease
We describe a case of both Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
and Graves' disease occurring on a background of FDH. A 42-year-old lady with longstanding autoimmune hypothyroidism was treated with thyroxine but in varying dosage, because TFTs, showing high Free T4 (FT4) and normal TSH levels, were discordant.

PS My GP has never checked my neck glands as part of diagnosing

. Should I expect them to?

Help and Support Needed
In August 2019 I was diagnosed with
thyroiditis
which settled after taking carbimazole and propranolol. I was monitored and my levels fluctuated but was advised to reduce the meds etc. Fast forward to now and I am still feeling unwell and the last few weeks it has got progressively worse.

Pesky Thyroid - 7+ months waiting
Following lots of scans and tests the endocrinologist said he thought I had
Thyroiditis
as after my thyroid was over active it then came under active by November 2019 - my TSH was 23. My thyroid also looked like it had been inflamed in one of the scans.

New findings by a powerful programme studying effects on thyroid function
Although this finding was somewhat astonishing it was confirmed in a third study, which included men suffering from autoimmune
thyroiditis
[3].

I have Hashimotos
Thyroiditis

Do I self treat now?
I have Hashimotos
Thyroiditis
and psoriasis. I was diagnosed as B12 deficient in 2010 after decades of symptoms, but mostly flaking nails, dry skin and exhaustion. I was prescribed loading injections then 3 monthly doses but these were stopped in 2012 during my pregnancy.

The Artist
I'm almost positive it is caused from my Hoshimoto
Thyroiditis
. It suggested taking CBD oil and sure enough it is really starting to take effect. The problem is my oncologist didn't want me to take it for my tumor, He was not sure how it would work with my Ibrance. So far so good.

First gp appointment today
I have a family history of thyroid problems( mother & maternal aunt) & I had post partum
thyroiditis
16 years ago which settled with no meds. The lab which did the test recommends that I be tested again in 6 months but I’m at breaking point here. So I’m seeing my GP this afternoon.

I have Hashimoto’s
thyroiditis
and today I got my results from my 6 monthly labs; the reading was 0.429, which is lower than my usual ~0.8 and I was wondering whether 0.429 is too low, or whether I should continue on my existing dosage (just 50 mcg).

I was originally diagnosed by ENT (as I kept being told it was my throat) who diagnosed subacute
thyroiditis
but then mistakenly put me on Carbimazole which is contraindicated for subacute
thyroiditis
.

Could it be fibromyalgia?
I am in my thirties and have Raynaud’s disease, “had” Hashimoto’s
thyroiditis
( but apparently gone according to latest blood tests) and was diagnosed with CFS 9 months ago.

After developing hypothyroidism following
thyroiditis
I couldn't get back to health on levothyroxine. I had great support from my GP and got referred too NHS endocrinology.

Do you accept your diagnosis?
My symptoms truly began when I was diagnosed with severe post-partum
thyroiditis
2 and half years ago. I was eventually put on Synthroid and then added armour but I have never been the same since.
