Should I be alarmed if I have permanent swollen glands in my neck when I have been diagnosed with hashimoto's last year?
This may sound silly but I have always had swollen neck glands (I am sure) and so I thought it was normal to have them. It wasn't until the last few days that friends who do not have hashimoto's but were complaining they had the flu and that their neck glands were swollen that I started to wonder what is the norm?
Should I be concerned? Apologies for what may appear to be a daft question?
PS My GP has never checked my neck glands as part of diagnosing thyroiditis. Should I expect them to?

It’s not a silly. If your worried go and ask your GP for advice. It might be just a simple thing. They will only check your neck if you tell them you’ve been having trouble with it.Mine will only checked if I’ve tell them I’ve been having problems with it, or endo will check at year appointment as well.
