Ultrasound outcome advice please

Hi all,

Can I get your thoughts on all this. What are your experiences, any tips or guidance much appreciated.

Had call with GP, following ultrasound scan, I have a persistent sore throat and some swelling. My biog is up to date, have Hashimoto’s, 100mcg Levo, follow all SlowDragons advice re testing, diet and supplements.

She said thyroid showing signs of thyroiditis (usually caused by a virus) and a few small cysts which apparently is very common so not to be alarmed, I asked if cysts are the same as nodules, she said one has water in and one doesn’t.

Referring me for a CT scan on neck and also a blood test for para thyroid to check that too and referral to an ear nose and throat specialist to monitor all of the above.

TIA 🦋💚🦋

looking at previous posts

How long since you increased to 100mcg levothyroxine

Have you changed to Accord….or still on Teva

Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after changing dose or brand of levothyroxine

When was last full iron panel test including ferritin

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

started 100mcg 7th Oct next bloods due after 18th Nov.

Couldn’t tolerate Accord had lactose reaction, only had 48 hours on it. Back on Teva, suits me.

Last Ferritin was in 11 Oct this year 68.2 (13-150) last full iron panel was 25.5.2021 GP said all normal. Looking back all in top end of ranges.

Vitamins

Thorne Basic B, D3 with K2, Magnesium Glycinate, alternate days selenium or zinc. (All spaced out away from Levo and Mg not with Zn etc.

Supplements:

L-Glutamine (at night only now), NAC, L-Carnitine(running out soon won’t replace), saccromyces Boulardii (2 left gut health transformed won’t continue) and occasional betaine with pepsin.

Paleo diet, strictly gluten and dairy free, no soy, no sugar, no caffeine, non sulphites almost alcohol free.
