Newly diagnosed and CRP is 31 mg/L (or 3.1mg/DL)

Feeling of fullness and neckpain led to ultrasound, which found thyroiditis.

Bloods then revealed high antibodies for Hashimotos, but thyroid "in range".

However my bigger worry is the CRP level 31mg/L or 3.1mg/dl. Is this common with hashis before its controlled?

Do you have a copy of your blood results? If not, ask GP receptionist for a copy, come back and post them here with the ranges.

CRP is an inflammation marker, the usual "range" is <5 or <10 so your result is over range confirming inflammation. As it is a non-specific marker it can show inflammation but cannot say where it is.

Hashi's causes inflammation, and of course there are other causes too. It's possible that your Hashi's is the cause of your elevated CRP.
