Flu season here!
I'm in my early 70's, developed ME following viral pneumonia in my 30's, then over a decade later discovered I also had Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
(am on thyroxine).I've managed to dodge Covid even though my partner had it and I nursed him through it....we were both vaccinated.

Hi l have Ord's
thyroiditis
,(30+yrs) had been on 115mg NP since Aug., and felt I had too high of a dose. Labs Dec. 12 show FT3 @3.6(2.0-4.4), rT3 16.0 (9.2-24.1) FT$ 1.19 (.82-1.77) TSH .005 (.45-4.5) so "we" dropped to 90.

post partum thyroditis
I had post partum
thyroiditis
after birth in October 2019, typical over active then underactive around 5 months pre birth. I have been on thyroxine since as I was very unwell and they were the results that were found to be out of range at the time.

Thyroid Issues on Ibrance?
Now, I have developed nodules on my thyroid and onc thinks I may have Hashimoto's or
thyroiditis
. Biopsy of nodules is clear. Endocronologist suggesting we just remove thyroid and add another few medications - to which I say NO! Anyone else develop any thyroid issues while on Ibrance?

Hemithyroidectomy or total thyroidectomy?
Hi all just like most female on my paternal side of the family, after giving birth in my late 20s I developed
thyroiditis
(?Hashimoto's, I have extremely high levels of TgAbs, but normal TPOs). I have a goitre (not massive) and on recent ultrasound a U3 nodule (as well as a U2).

Incidence, prevalence, and co-occurrence of autoimmune disorders over time and by age, sex, and socioeconomic status
The largest increases were seen in coeliac disease (2·19 [2·05–2·35]), Sjogren's syndrome (2·09 [1·84–2·37]), and Graves' disease (2·07 [1·92–2·22]); pernicious anaemia (0·79 [0·72–0·86]) and Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
(0·81 [0·75–0·86]) significantly decreased in incidence.

Need help, please! TSH 0.01 to 8.25 to 1.12 to 16.9 to 0.07 All from 25mcg changes - down to Hashis or something else? T4 in range.
This was also when I had some thyroid antibodies results Anti-Thyroglobulin Antibodies 17 U/ml 0 - 115 Anti-TPO Antibodies 190 U/ml 0 - 34 11 Feb 2022 So I learnt my underactive thyroid, diagnosed in 2003, is caused by autoimmune
thyroiditis
Hashimoto's.

T4 storage
But if you have had autoimmune
thyroiditis
for many years, do you still have a thyroid or is it a speck of dust? If you thyroid has been destroyed. where is the T4 stored? This led on to the thought that if your thyroid is no longer there, why bother testing TSH?

where can I find info on thyroid function tests
I had apparently had
thyroiditis
but it was only picked up after my op. Looking at the symptoms I think & my gp advised that it was menopause related but I know don’t think so as things have improved.

I need some help
Thyroid is full of cysts and mentioned "chronic
thyroiditis
", which I googled and it came up with hashimotos. Again never mentioned, and still jever mentioned when the scan was halfheartedly discussed and dismissed.

Raised Ca125 as thyroiditis marker?
She thought it more likely my
thyroiditis
and nodules/adenomas are causing the raised Ca125. Anyone come across this before? ENT on Thursday this week to discuss MRI with contrast.

Tapering off T3
My initial hypothyroidism was caused by the attack of
thyroiditis
not long term autoimmune damage. 2. In cases of
thyroiditis
80% to 95% of people have temporary hypothyroidism for 6 to 18 months. And it's very likely that under all the meds I have a recovered thyroid gland. 3.

Some advice in choosing the best blood tests to go for, please, as am becoming a bit bogged-down with choices!
and even used the expression that "the thyroid burns itself out and turns to/becomes Hashimoto's
Thyroiditis
"
4)
Since then, as I've seen is sadly common and the norm on here amongst all of the amazing members, I've had zero treatment for Hashi's.

Can you have thyroiditis with normal lab results?
My doctor has suspected
thyroiditis
but my bloods have come back satisfactory. My ecg showed sinus tachycardia. Could I still have this condition? I'm worried now if it's not
thyroiditis
what is causing the awful pain. Currently taking Ibuprofen that does help alot .

Blood test results
I pushed for the thyroid bloods as I have autoimmune
thyroiditis
and suspected she might too. Her TSH is 1.8 (0.7-4.17). I am aware this should ideally be below 1. Should I push for FT4 and how do I convince a GP that this result isn’t actually satisfactory please? Finally her D is 44!
