Room for a small one on the IC?
I've had to give in temporarily to the injury couch. An old injury has flared up bigtime (torn shoulder tendon) and my lovely NHS physio said (despite my pleading puppy dog eyes) that it would be best not to do anything that jolts the shoulder (and that includes running, despite my following Laura's

Injured, but not couch-bound just yet
It could have developed into
tendonitis
, but it sounds like we cought it early. Could have been even earlier which might have meant less pain and less money spent on treatment. So, there's a clear lesson there for me.

Painful Red Lumps
Hello everyone I have been getting painful red lumps appearing on the sides of my fingers. I have never had them before and wonder what could be causing them?. I have Raynauds and UCTD and take Steroids and Adalat successfully for these conditions. Overtime they do go away but then new ones come on

Tender tendon.
I have a dodgy set of ankles. Have done since a particularly gymnastic unintentional dismount from a horse about 30 years ago. So now my left ankle is rising up in protest that I have dared to wake it from its easy life and ask it to transport me at a slightly quicker rate than expected. I am due to

Nice 10K to finish the week
My Post tibial
tendonitis
is still with me - now into the 4th month but I am back to running 3 times a week albeit gingerly. Went out for a slow 10k last night and felt really strong. It was only after 6K I felt my legs were working properly and the hills were okay.

Recovering from
tendonitis
injury , was advised to start with 5 mins, twice a week ( physic) am now up to 13 minutes. Had a week skiing ( which doesn't count as tendon was in ski boots) Still running on grass. Can still feel tendon (especially when cutting grass) but not so bad running.

Mini review - Yurbuds Liberty wireless earphones
Hi, having been getting annoyed with the wires on my existing Sony earphones I decided to try out some wireless ones. To be honest, I struggled to find some that I thought would do the job. I've never gotten on very well with the standard sort of in-ear earphones. My current Sony ones are over/behind

Hello week 6!
Thanks to the advice on here I took run 1 nice and steady and quite enjoyed it, I finished each interval with the thought "I could have carried on there!" which was a nice little boost. I also found at the end that I'd knocked another minute off my predicted 5k time which was a surprise :) I varied

top of foot pain - any experience/advice
Internet self-diagnosis leads me to think that its likely a tendon (also a few years back I went to the doctor with similar pain and he said it was "probably
tendonitis
"). Any exprience out there with this sort of thing ? Other than rest, has anyone found anything useful that speeds up healing ?

Week 6 update
Anyway, I was scheduled to do week 6 run 3 today but I've woken up with the aching elbows and ankles that foretells a flare-up of the autoimmune
tendonitis
thingy I get occasionally so I'll be having a few extra days break and lots of ibuprofen to head that off then I'll be tackling the 25 minute run

What's the deal with trochanteric bursitis?
My rheumy seems to think that I'm close to remission and I sort of agree but it's as if there's a clause that goes: 'in remission .... apart from
tendonitis
, enthesitis, trochanteric bursitis etc'.

I want off the IC now!
I still have Post Tibial
Tendonitis
. Here's the latest Me - Managed a 2 mile run/walk last night calf/ankle was fine while running. Physio and how is it today? Me: Sore but not as bad as it's been. Physio: Don't run if it is sore. Increase your distance by no more than 10% each week.

My gp is back
Have
tendonitis
, in need of home physio which will take a while obviously, so she gave me a couple of excersises to get me started. I wish everyone had a gp who cares and understands the way she does. Makes such a big difference. :) Tulip xx

my gp is back
have
tendonitis
in my right knee, and needs physio to make home visit which of course may take a while so she showed me a couple of excersises to get me started. increasing amitriptyline for pain/depression. Reinforces my appreciation for a gp who cares and understands my problems.

Methotrexate Increase 😯
Well, had rheumy appointment today.. again. Consultant had upped my mx dose to 20mg even though I didn't really want it. Rheumy nurse wanted me to stuck with 15mg and add fluxy flexy sulfy something or other 😂 Had another steroid injection (thought we could only have 3 in a year??) This is my 4th.

No running for me for a while
Tibialis posterior
tendonitis
so 6 exercises 3 times a day and more to come in a week or so. Nice to put a name to the pain but it's going to be frustrating. I can cycle on the exercise bike so hope not to lose too much fitness but I'd rather be running.
