I've had
tendonitis
in one arm for almost two years having complained about the pain with my gp. She sent me off to the physio and I was given exercises. Physio said the shoulder muscle was flat (it made her chuckle) as I'd stopped using my right arm, wasn't doing much with it.

Yahoo! C25k is one of the best things I have ever done. It is truly amazing. It has been a long road with months on the injury couch and trying to get back up to running 5K after months away. Since the start of January I have been committed to losing weight, running more often and getting faster. I have

5Th Park run
Getting out of the car I found the achilles "tight" and subsequently during the day, walking was hindered, so I am assuming I have
tendonitis
which I suffered in my left leg some months ago.

Is aerobic exercise really THAT good?
As I can't currently do any running or exercise that agitates my archilles
tendonitis
I am still trying to burn calories enough calories a day to aid my weight loss. I use mapmyfitness to record my walks, cycles, runs and exercise. Today I did a 30 min brisk walk and burned 225 calories.

Resting Up!
completely dismissive (kind of a what do you expect if you start running in your 40s sort of an attitude) felt after some internet research and a chat with a friendly physio on the playground (a school parent body can have it's advantages sometimes 😉) - that it might be the beginnings of patellar

So after thoroughly enjoying my running and completing week 3, i managed to pick up an attack of tendinitis in my Achilles which is painful and debilitating and has made running out of the question. Even after three weeks rest and recuperation, walking is uncomfortable. Has anyone out there had similar

Mild ankle pain
I graduated some time ago and then had a few problems with muscle strain and ligaments. I rejoined on week 5 and have been progressing very slowly, voluntarily doing each run 3 times before moving on. The good thing is that is has been relatively easy and actually a bit more enjoyable. When you finish

help please. Is acute Tendonitis in both Achilles a result of Pred (25mg) and Methotrexate (20mg)? or is it onset PMR?
Hello everyone, I am seeking some advice from my fellow sufferers. I have had GCA since Aug and tapering down on Pred which has been difficult. I am still working and have daily temple pain and by 6 pm find it difficult to chew. I am now down to 25 mg of pred and as the pain wasn't going the rheumy

Week 3: Mind, Feet, and Perseverance: These are the Three Companies I Keep
Week 3 was eye-opening. Here's how:
The difficulty level went up a bit this week compared to the previous one. But I kept trudging on. What really helped were my determination to see it to the end and also slowing down as many times as I can. Like Johnny Walker, I kept walking (or more aptly,

Achilles tendonitis
I'm on week 3 and have achilles
tendonitis
issues that are keeping me awake at night. On doing some reading on it (and this seems to be an issue that affects long distant runners! Not me surely!

Parkrun Pain
Today was a paced event at our local Parkrun in Navan. My 9 year old Son Oisin and I were up early and looking forward to running on a gorgeous gin clear frosty morning. We were on a mission for a PB. Oisin got a sub 30 min time last weekend and I wanted to join him. We were going to follow Derek whom

Suspected RA or MCTD
The only symptoms I appear to have and have had are sore Achilles tendon (told it was
tendonitis
) and sometimes quite severe abdominal pain - once or twice a year and just this last week light joint pain in my knees, hands, elbows and shoulders.

Also does anyone have
tendonitis
of the thumb as a result of RA. My rheumy has now prescribed methotrexate injections in addition to the above meds to help with the inflammation. Just not confident with the treatment anymore.

Latest Vitamin and Thyroid results after increased dose Tirosint
Hello everyone, Thanks again for your amazing support. As advised I requested Vitamins & Thyroid tests as well as Coeliac test. The Doctor said Coeliac test not necessary if I don’t have tummy problems. She said these results are all good except the Vitamin D3 and said I need to double my dose.

Granuloma annulare and RA
Hello everyone. I was diagnosed with RA 18 months ago, but have had Granuloma Annulare for probably 15 years. A very fortunate effect of Methotrexate is that it has almost completely cleared my granuloma, which covered every limb. Just wondered how many of you also have granuloma annulare?

Dic Carlson, Here is why tryptophan is better than 5-HTP
Just in case you look into Julia Ross's book The Mood Cure, and just in case you decide to give 5-HTP a try - I am including an update, as it were, by Julia Ross herself. In her book, published 2002, she recommends 5 HTP quite a bit, tho she does say that for some people it is stimulating and leads

W2R3 - ankle pain?
Hi everyone. I finished my Week 2 Run 3 this morning, and it was only when I got back to the house that I noticed a slight twinge of sharp pain on the left side of my right ankle when I walked. If I don't think about it, I don't really notice it. I was really looking forward to starting W3 on Wednesday

All the way back to the beginning
Then got peroneal
tendonitis
(ie lots of leg pain) and had to stop because I couldn't even walk. I'm going out tonight for the first time in months. Doubt I will be able to run much at all, and hate thatI have the nervous/excited feeling back again. Hope it goes ok.

Finally did it after nursing achilles
Tendonitis
. Ran on the treadmill just in case it flared up again, set at 2% gradient and even managed to up the speed for last five minutes. Three more runs to go😊

At Long Last !!
B) lots of niggling injuries, Pulled muscles, achilles tendon pulled, then
tendonitis
, etc.,etc., and NOT taking notice to SLOW DOWN! It's been an interesting journey, and thanks to all who have offered encouragement along the way and the advice given throughout this excellent forum.
