Hi everyone. I finished my Week 2 Run 3 this morning, and it was only when I got back to the house that I noticed a slight twinge of sharp pain on the left side of my right ankle when I walked. If I don't think about it, I don't really notice it.
I was really looking forward to starting W3 on Wednesday after my rest day tomorrow. What's the best thing to do?
For info, I'm wearing Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 trainers but I didn't have a gait analysis. The only other thing I've noticed is sometimes in my warm up walk and first run, the right side of my right foot feels a bit strained/achey but this soon goes so I assumed it was fine. E.g. I thought if the shoes were causing a problem then the more I ran the more it would hurt, but it seemed to be the opposite.
Any advice greatly appreciated!

I’m no expert and loads of others are, so you’ll soon get some sound advice. In the meantime, a lot of minor foot and leg pains ease up if you walk barefoot in your house for a bit. All the best with it x
Well done with the run. Here’s hoping the pain doesn’t return. If it does stop running and rest it. Ankles can take a little while to heal, the blood flow isn’t great to the tendons, but hopefully any damage is slight.
Amongst others, I run in 35s, which is a neutral shoe... but you may not be neutral, not many runners are. It’s almost certainly worth getting your gait analysis done.
